Should be a ferrite bead. Please check continuity from both pads against GND (e.g. mounting holes). Both pads should be high resistance.

Regarding your problem this would make sense because the HDMI transmitter would miss one of its supply voltages.

Happy new year. Yes the adapter is compatible with IO Board Version 6.0. Did you build the through hole or the SMD Version?

Maybe there is a soldering problem. Could you post some pictures?

IO Board Revision 5.6 isn't compatible with mt32-pi lite out of the box. You need to cut the 3.3V supply pin and wire IO6 to this pin on the user port.

C1 - C3 shall be 22 uF. Please pay attention to buy a 1117 regulator which is stable with MLCCs caps (mentioned within datasheet).

If you say that this seems to work, do you mean that you are now getting sound from the MT32 pi?

@espo83: Did you modify your IO Board to output IO6 instead of 3.3 V on the corresponding User Port Pin?

If not this could be your issue because that signal is used for I2S Data.

If you already own a tty2oled that fits your need, there is no benefit using the ESP32-WROOM-32D design.

The design comes in handy if you:

-don't want additional adapter PCB
-want USB connector on the backside
-need additional connectors for hardware extension using I2C/SPI

You can order 5 PCBs for 8 $ from JLCPCB. For the electronic components I recommend sourcing the from LCSC.

I've just tested it (OSD / Genesis Core with 2 player Sonic 2) with my both M30 BT controllers and latest updates. No issues on my side.

With this converter he can use the free coaxial connection.
