Right. Those 4 IC pins are just connected to the pullups, and nothing else.

Re: Mister with LLAPI/LLOAD flickering inputs

Thank you for clarifying! I was pretty sure, once I saw that it was working with a shorter cable that the problem was on my I/O board. I find this LLAMA adapter to be very functional I only wish that the db15 port supported a 6 buttons arcade stick but I think that is impossible since there aren't any low lag adapter for that I think I've made an ...

Re: MiSTer with LLAPI/LLOAD flickering inputs

IO6 is not used by LLAPI. The reason it works with the longer cable now is probably because of the added 10k pullups. LLAMA adapter provides 10K pullups on those lines already, so when you added another 10K pullups in parallel, those make them 5K pullups. Stronger pullups now, which might have helped with the signal stabilization.

Re: Analog Component video through I/O board not displaying

I think that for using component from IO board's VGA port you only need this:

Code: Select all

composite_sync=0
ypbpr=1
vga_scaler=0
Aside of toggling the SOG switch to the right position (can't remember which one now).

Re: MiSTer with LLAPI/LLOAD flickering inputs

I could be wrong, but I think in-core input mapping works only for USB, not LLAPI. So if you map inputs in there but those don't change anything in-game, inputs are coming from LLAPI and not USB. Let us know.

Re: MiSTer with LLAPI/LLOAD flickering inputs

I'll buy one the shortest I can find on Amazon, and I'll try, thank you, I've tried with this: This one from the picture is the one I use without issues. But mileage may vary depending on your IO board, etc. I would also suggest powering the second player port by connecting it to MiSTer via USB as well. It could be a good idea to test your user IO...

LLAPI needs good quality USB 3.0 cable. Shorter the cable is, the better. Try with a different/shorter USB 3.0 cable.

This was generated by the suggested website for my resolution with the "Margin: Yes" setting enabled. I also needed to change Menu core resolution because the above gave me black ba...

I've had trouble with values of 1 showing up in the vertical blanking specs, especially as Mister adjusts the refresh rate down slightly from the mode you provide. Try making a mode with this site. Tearing on VGA CRT through IO board

Hi guys! I get screen tearing very frequently with my CRT VGA monitor connected to MiSTer through the IO board. I've never noticed that happening on HDMI though. In order to fix this, specially in the NES and Genesis core, I switch the system type back and forth (NTSC -> PAL -> NTSC) inside the core and the tearing disappears. Is that something tha...

Both cores should have the latest framework which supposedly fixes this issue when switching between them.

Are you sure that before going to the NeoGeo core you didn’t open an arcade core or something?

video_mode is for HDMI/scaler output only. Component output via analog IO board doesn’t use them as output is always the native one from the running system.

For me it happens a lot when using IO board VGA output to a CRT monitor. Re-loading the core, for some reason, usually fixes it.

Rarely happens on HDMI output.

Taking advantage of this post, I really think we need a way to switch alternate .ini through IO buttons (a combo or something like that). It helps when default video mode is not visible on the attached video device.

I have an older version (2.00) that doesn't have the issue you describe, at least. Hope it's useful: https://gofile.io/d/K1Hfc5

Edit: actually this one is a little newer than the one I've linked above and it should also not have those issues: http://download.8bitdo.com/Firmware/Con ... rmware.zip
