Re: New pvm user - what cable to use ? Only one sync input on display
Set mister.ini to composite sync, then use the black cable (I think). If it doesn't work, try the gray- it won't hurt anything, but I believe it was the black cable.

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core
This is really really neat. I had the idea years back to use some kind of USB device for this, but never did anything with it. This works great!

Re: USB Hub v2.1 Seems to be Dead
No, if the port is dead, it's dead. I've seen them killed by static or something pulling too much current. You can check and see if the physical connection is good. You may be lucky and it can be resoldered, if so.
I had a USB game pad that had some issue with the cable and fried one of mine... Painful.

Re: C64 problem with The Space is Broken demo
I think the 128 core is more mature. They probably should be merged at some point like the 2600/7800.
There are already MRA files to make the 128 into a 64, but it has issues with reset.

Re: Some general questions before I order from UltimateMister
Yeah if you can put it together yourself you can do a complete nice system with metal case for about $400 total.
I guess some people may not have the skills to put it all together or just don't want to.

It definitely does a CLI right before jumping to BASIC.
See $FCFE.

Also, most text output becomes garbled and unreadable just after booting NitroOS9 kernel on most disks. It looks like it switches into a weird semigraphic mode...

Yeah the first maze color glitch happens if you quickly start a game before the attract mode plays very far. Passing through ghosts is a well known bug/feature from Pac-Man.

Re: Coco3 Core Released
I verified it. No changes at all other than swapping 32M for 128M and it works fine. Swap back to 32M, no boot. Same exact setup otherwise.
I put it in as an issue in Github.

Re: Coco3 Core Released
It seems like this core does not work properly with 32M SDRAM. You get the black/green screen but the computer never boots. It's fine in the exact same MiSTer with 128M SDRAM.

Re: MiSTer FPGA with an SSD
I just mount the GAMES folder with SMB and it works great. Just share it off a PC elsewhere in your home... Easy.

All of the System 1 games seem to have corrupted graphics with 32M SDRAM.

Do these cores require 128M SDRAM? My older MiSTer with 32M seems to have corrupted graphics with this core...

Re: Apple II Core
It would be nice to be able to load different ROM sets into this core. For example, original Apple II integer ROMs, clone ROMs, Apple IIc ROMs, etc.
Since it was recently modified to load video ROMs, this couldn't be that big of a stretch?

Re: Ballblazer C64 NTSC
Just out of curiosity, have you tried it on the C128 core (in C64 mode). I'd be curious if that is the same core codebase...

Re: Is It Normal That I Need to Re-Pair My Bluetooth Controller Every Time?
No I don't believe that is normal. I use a PS4 controller, and it just starts working when I turn it on. I do have to wait a few seconds for the BT icon to appear on the MiSTer menu, of course.

I always thought it was the same chipset, just the arcade board had more RAM to utilize the higher resolution video mode.
I thought you could even scavenge custom chips between the two?

Re: Problem with VGA Output to IBM PS/1 CRT Monitor
Those IBM monitors only work at one specific frequency, and are not flexible at all. You need to look up the exact specs and force MiSTer to use it. It will not work well for any cores that don't like being forced.
