This is awesome, thanks so much for making this. I couldn't justify the $120 for a Time Sleuth.

Re: Best All-Round Controller
The HORI Fighting Commander OCTA looks nice. Anyone used one with MiSTer? IMG_0388.jpeg I use the Xbox version and it's not bad. The microswitch buttons are nice and the dpad is so so, it fails the Contra test though. Most dpad's fail the Contra test so don't let that turn you off. I am highly sensitive to input lag and primarily play via SNAC. I ...

Re: Which Is the Better Option for Outputting Component Through Direct Video?
Thanks Djiem. I use my zapper as a poor man's lag tester. When I pick these up I will test with the zapper and will give everyone an update.

Personally, I use those: Vention HDMI-to-VGA Converter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001935512320.html VGA-to-YPBPR Adapter: https://antoniovillena.es/store/product/vga-ypbpr-adapter-rca/ (with these adapters you don't need to do any of that soldering stuff, it's done for you) Male/male 3.5mm to White/Red cable Male/male Component cable Reg...

Re: Thoughts on 32 inch 1080p
Maybe it is something I did wrong, but all the cores run at 1440, but Jotego's. All of his are running at 1080p. Anyone else notice this? If a core doesn't have explicit support for mode 14 (2560x1440) it falls back to 1080p resolution, I would guess due to the double-horizontal resolution thing needing special implementation. The menu core does n...

Re: Thoughts on 32 inch 1080p
Thanks, I sort of forgot Mister could handle 2560x1440. I try to avoid any scaling on the monitors to avoid unneeded display lag so figured I'd need a 1080p screen. If anyone is curious, Mister running at 1440p on an LG OLED adds massive lag. MLiG mentioned this and I'm going to assume it is because LG didn't plan on people sending 1440p to it. I c...

Thoughts on 32 inch 1080p
So I've been looking for a perfect dedicated montior other than my CRT for a future arcade cab. I stumbled upon the 32MN50W-B. I wanted to get some of your thoughts to see if I'm missing something. Normally I consider all Walmart electronics junk, but this may be the perfect monitor for MiSTer. I feel like 1080p monitors over 24 inches are not long...

Re: MiSTer Remote
Yes, while I haven't been able to configure it as a controller, the basics work. The home button is F12(menu), the directional pad works and the center button is execute. That is about as much as I have been able to get to work. This at least lets me navigate the cores, launch roms and menu of course lets me get out of the game. Outside of having a...

MiSTer Remote
Hey I'm sure this is well known, but figured I'd share this in the event it isn't. Got bored and tried a remote that I used for my nvidia shield on the mister and it worked! I found a use case for it as well. While yes the USB gamepad can control the UI to start the cores, but what if you only have your SNAC controller plugged in? A remote is great...

Re: PSX SNAC Adapter and Digital IO board
Hey not sure if this will solve your issue, but I had experienced something similar with my digital io board. I missed a step in the install process. There is a switch(SW3) on the DE10-Nano that has to be turned on for the new digital io board. Fortunately I was able to use a small screw driver to flip it on by going through the fan opening. Saved ...
