Re: MiSTer PCXT
The motherboard DIP Switch-1 is for IBM's continuous POST self-test which will run forever if the switch is on. Maybe this is why the IBM BIOS locks up for you? I have already configured the DIP Switches with kitune-san's suggestion, now they look good: SuperSoft Tests 03.jpg However, that's not the problem with 5150 and 5160 ROM s hanging, it sti...

Nice!!
I do have a 'hero and princess' from Tandy that it was never preserved. But I'm not fully sure how they do it.
I tried by doing photograhs but, it does not look quite right.

Looks like sorgelig is going to take a look at the core :) https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/issues/527#issuecomment-1032938435 This core would be a must in Mister, as a preservation project! I vote for porting it. Definitely has a niche for early games that run on composite colors, if it could simulate the artifacting as is done with th...

Re: New MSX Core In The Works
I tried Robocop and Batman the movie roms and it only reboots. It might be an issue with memory? This may be due to lack of mapping support from cartrige. Currently no external mapper is implemented. More information could be provided if I know which specific ROM it is. These games were originally released in cassette format. Jordi is trying to lo...

This core would be a must in Mister, as a preservation project! I vote for porting it. Definitely has a niche for early games that run on composite colors, if it could simulate the artifacting as is done with the Apple II core. This page lists 57 games that support that mode: https://www.mobygames.com/attribute/sheet/attributeId,29/p,4/ and it's m...

Re: Duke3D Atomic Edition fix?
I think it would be much better to just compile eduke into the linux Mister has, like scumm... since this game could run natively on it.
retropie has it, so it should be not that different. I tried some time ago but I didn't know how to manage compilation dependencies.

Friend, the error that is appearing for you is solved by downloading the file "rtc.sys" in this link below, it was also giving the same error to me, after copying the file to the directory it solved, but for me after loading, it goes back to the boot screen and doesn't load "esxdos088" I'm in need of help too! Re: Macintosh Plus Setup
Been working on a .vhd update. It's up on archive.org, just search for 'MacPack-20210626 for FPGA' or look for my username (same as here) and check my uploads. Over 1,000 game folders on the main drive now. That was more or less my arbitrary numerical quota, so I should be slowing the release of updates at this point. Notable new additions include...

It would be the first thing that we should have in this core: improve VGA. It's annoying for some platformers.

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, but seeing as MT32 support is vastly more prevalent on the PC core, I guess it's kind of appropriate. Disclaimer: I'm a total novice when it comes to MIDI and DOS games. After a week-long journey, I've finally managed to experience the joys of MT32 audio (spoiler: it's amazing) and I used onl...

I've seen that core is missing lot of sounds from Macintosh Classic 128k.
Lode runner misses all sound effects from 'laser', or 'take money'. I tried same DSK image on Mini VMAC and it works correclty.

But I guess it's feasable and easy to do just with any USB <=> LPT adaptor, which are extremely cheap.

It might be even easier to have OPL3LPT/OPL2LPT as a parallel port implementation looks simple from the outside. Same compatibility as well.
