Yes, it will pick your USB for SNES. So just copy all of games/SNES to the USB and it will work. You can't split it like you have done now.

How would MiSTer know it is waiting for a USB drive to be mounted? I mean, what is the difference with someone who hasn't connected a USB drive?

Here's a tip for anyone that want to play with save games.

Pezz82 has done a great job here, collecting save game files for a ton of games. Just get the MemCard Pro Pack Mister zip.

... A classic Sega racing game is Monaco GP, which doesn't use a CPU, I played that as a kid on a school outing, would really love to see that on MiSTer. It has weather and night time parts, really fun game. I played Space Panic on a school outing as well, that one is also fun. ... Jotego tweeted yesterday about Monaco GP, so looks like he is work...

Re: New MiSTer Owner Help Setting Up
You are complicating things. Now maybe you have really really slow Internet, I don't know, but - download the installer, download the update_all.sh script and install that after you have installed the SD card. Run the update_all.sh and EVERYTHING will be installed and ready for you. At least if you are connecting to an HDMI TV. Once that is done, y...

It is always "OK" to run a update_all.sh. Of course there can be issues, but they are typically solved quickly. If you are afraid, just backup your cores before you do the update.

Re: EIZO EV2460-BK 24" 60Hz display enough?
I think the reports have been that the Freesync monitors actually sync at the lower framerates, unlike normal 60Hz monitors. It's not that the MiSTer would need variable refresh rate, but a monitor that allows e.g. 57.4Hz that CAVE used.

Re: No ROMs At All?
Sounds a stupid question but can you play any MAME Rom are just the ones that have been converted to mister ? Love it if system 16 was available Only the ones which have cores made for them. If I were to guess though, I would think System 16 will be released this year, based on what some devs had said. But who knows. What I love about the MiSTer p...

A complete rom set for all console cores is more than a TB, so no, you have to provide that yourself.

Possible to change size of picture on HDMI?
So, I have always said: "You can never have too big a TV". Well, I guess one can... I feel that some of the consoles, filling up the whole screen from top to bottom, well, it just makes them too big. Is it possible to somehow change, so that I get perhaps 50% screen size, with black bars around? I feel (without having tried it), that some...

Re: Fast Track to Good Setup for Newbie
Install this updater script and run it, and you are "all set". You still need to supply your computer and console roms of course, but besides that, this will fix everything for you regarding bios files, mame files, unofficial cores etc.

Re: SSH and FTP stopped working
Not “can”, but “will” cause problems. You can’t have two devices on the same IP subnet with the same MAC without a lot of problems. In the error the OP is mentioning means he has an IP problem. His local Ip stack does not have a route to the device he’s trying to connect to. In this case, his subnet is definitely configured differently between his ...
