Re: MiSTer Laggy
Hi, this is great. Now I can lag test my ipad display...the Time Sleuth did not support that high of a resolution. Thanks for putting this together! what was the average lag on the ipad screen? Here's the results for the two ipad screens I have (can't remember the exact models since I bought them years ago, I'd have to take them out of their cases...

Re: Replacement Displays for CRT Regarding MiSTercade and DIY Cabinet
hi, he's (Bob at retrorgb) done an update video specifically on the Arcooda monitor. https://www.retrorgb.com/arcooda-20-240p-arcade-monitor-review.html It has 2ms of lag. Although according to Arcooda (in the youtube comments) the panel is end of life so there's probably not too many more of these (if you're looking to purchase). On the flip side,...

Re: RTD-2556T LCD Monitor Power Supply?
here's the official power supply. i couldn't find it on amazon.co.uk though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZNJB5BB VSDisplay says you can power via usb but it's better to use the DC power adapter. "Micro usb can be used for powering, but it will be better to use DC connector to power the screen of this product, don't power through this micro usb ...

Re: MiSTer to an HD CRT?
hi, for 540p on my 36xbr800 (which is a 4:3 set) i switched to this setting: video_mode=1920,88,44,148,540,2,5,15,74250 to disable the automatic 16:9 squeeze it's in the service menu yes...i think it's called 'JUMP'. toggle that off (or on...). also you sometimes have to mess with the individual core settings inside MiSTer OSD to get it to display ...

Re: 1920x1200 & 1920x1440 Aspect Ratio Detection
Hi, great find. In the mean time would you mind posting your SNES core so we can test it? I have a monitor I'm trying to run at 2048x1536 and it works but the monitor always has a screen overlay error message complaining about the signal. I wonder if your changes might improve compatibility with these high resolutions. Thanks so much.

Re: MiSTer to an HD CRT?
Several things have gone right and stars aligned so here's an update. I finally managed to get a Time Sleuth and chriz2600 added 540p support to it. On my 36XBR800 using DVI input I get 7ms of consistent lag. I can live with those numbers. I've tested the NES, SNES, and Genesis cores and they look great. Nice 4:3 picture, fills up the entire screen...

Re: Access Discord Server Without Providing Phone Number?
from what i was testing this morning you cannot lurk in misterfpga discord without providing a phone number. nothing is visible until you enter your number. so that's a hard no from me.

Re: Access Discord Server Without Providing Phone Number?
or at least allow read-only access to discord without a phone number. that would let people lurk without having to give up their privacy.
if it was me, i'd just stick with irc. i am not giving my phone number to discord (or any social media site).

Re: MiSTer to an HD CRT?
540p seems to work on my Sony 36XBR800 with the mister. It's a 4:3 HD set from 2002. To get it working over DVI I had to use a HDMI->DVI converter box though (product 431 at converters.tv). This TV is picky about what it accepts over DVI so the box does some magic to make the Sony happy. I originally bought the converter to fix an issue with the Re...

Re: Ipad 3/4 Display with HDMI converter board
Hi, so is video_mode=13 the current recommended setting for native resolution on this panel? Or use one of the custom video_mode settings I've seen on this board and other places. Sorgelig posted this one at the top of the Custom Video Modes Test Thread: video_mode=2048,48,32,80,1536,2,4,38,209250 but that was over a year ago. I've also seen other ...

SNAC issue with NES core
Hi, I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with my original OEM NES-004 controller with a SNAC adapter. It used to work fine but recently stopped working. I tried the controller in a real NES (NES-001) and it works fine, so the controller works on real hardware. Some history. I bought a SNAC adapter and the NES adapter maybe a year ago. It worked fine...

Re: Guide: Perfect Image Sharpness No Shimmering
Hi, just an update on my end. My Eizo monitor is a 2048x1536 native model from 2013, so it's a bit older than yours. I tried using video_mode=13 and also calculating my own custom video_modes using reduced blanking with both CVT 1.1 and CVT 1.2. The pixel clock was just too high for 2048x1536 at 60Hz. It was strange though, I did get a picture whic...

Re: FPS frames per second display
Hi, thanks for the explanation. It was just something I thought about when playing Phantasy Star II on the Genesis core. The game play was smooth until I got into a battle and it seemed to be running slow (the fight animation was slow). Turning on the turbo option (high) fixed it. But during the slowdown I thought it would be nice to check the fram...

FPS frames per second display
Hi, maybe I'm just not seeing the option to display FPS (frames per second) but is this possible in any of the console cores? Specifically NES, SNES, Genesis, and TurboGrafx-16? I suppose I'm used to this in emulators where you can turn on FPS and see the current frame rate. Just curious as I tried to search the forum and look through the core opti...

Re: Guide: Perfect image sharpness (square pixels, no shimmering) via custom_ratio in Mister.ini
Hi dfilskov, I've been looking at an Eizo monitor and saw it looks like you have one based on the picture you attached. From reading the manuals it looks like you need to use dual-link DVI-D or DisplayPort to get 60Hz at native resolution. How are you connecting yours to the MiSTer's HDMI port? Can you please let me know what adapters or cables you...
