Re: Audio Noise and Distortion from IO Board
I did some more testing yesterday. I swapped the coupling caps for 10uF without any change. Then I remembered reading somewhere that some core builds affect the analog audio differently because of the way the circuits are arranged in the fpga (don't know whether this is true or not). I tested other cores and it seems to be a problem of the SNES cor...

Re: Audio Noise and Distortion from IO Board
Yeah, I read as much, but it's never been THIS bad. I setup the MiSTer pretty early and have always used it with the analog output without problems. Also, the MiSTer has enough cables sticking out of it from all sides as it is, I really want to avoid adding yet another dongle with its own power supply if I can. I have a workaround with an HDMI to V...

Audio Noise and Distortion from IO Board
Hey guys, I have a problem with the analog audio output from my MiSTer IO board (I think it may be rev 5.5 or 5.6). Recently, the output has developed some kind of distortion, I can also hear SD access very clearly. I googled and found a hint that it might have to to with i2s and the four switches on the DE10 board, but the switches are all in the ...

Re: X68000 With Non-Japanese Keyboard?
Hello,
Where can we find the keymap.xlsx file? I searched your website, but did not find a download. I'm also trying to press the HELP key.
This Github seems to be old.
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/X68000_MiSTer
Thank you!

Re: Deamonbite PS3 Compatibility
I was just looking into this topic myself and found that the Daemonbite adapter does not seem to support the Home button. There's a software from bootsector called PS3PadMicro which does support the home button (by pressing Start and Select simultaneously). User Buttersoft modified the firmware in such a way that it is compatible with the Daemonbit...

Re: MiSTer on my CRT TV *WOES*
So your TV has the FE-2 chassis inside which is capable of using the MiSTer in 60Hz. I don't know the cable, but make sure that pin 16 of the Scart hat has the blanking voltage so that your TV switches to RGB mode. The cable has to be wired correctly to utilize Pin 9 of the VGA port. Finally and most importantly: Your IO board has to have the jumpe...

Re: Horizontal and Vertical Shift Options for Analog Output
Jotego seems to have also seen the need for this feature and has provided the means to implement his awesome feature into other cores.

viletim had a go at it in 2007. I also know moosmann's RGB shifter, it seems to work well.
I'll have to take a look at the circuit and try to understand it.

Re: Horizontal and Vertical Shift Options for Analog Output
Yeah, I was afraid of that. Thank you for looking into it! By the way, how does an external RGB shifter shift the signal to the left anyway? I was under the impression that, in order to shift the picture to the right, you'd have to modify the front porch. So far so good, I can imagine some kind of circuitry for delaying a falling edge, but how does...

Horizontal and Vertical Shift Options for Analog Output
Hi guys!
The Jotego cores have an option to shift the image in both axes when outputting natively via the IO board. It seems that this is a per core feature. Is it possible to implement this in more cores? Would I have to nag each core developer to implement this? It's such a handy feature and solves the necessity to use RGB shifters.
