Re: MiSTerFPGA community on Twitter alternatives, share your Username here!

Given the increasing challenges associated with consuming content on Twitter, I believe it's time for other options. I've noticed a significant absence of references to MisterFPGA on Threads. So I invite the entire community to create and share their Threads usernames in this discussion. It's important to note that this isn't about categorizing co...

Re: Chrono Quest Monitor Resyncs Changing Screen

the fact is I've followed the recommended setup (plus my stuff) in MiSTer.ini so I have

[Minimig]
video_mode_ntsc=8
video_mode_pal=9
vsync_adjust=2
video_info=0
vrr_mode=2
custom_aspect_ratio_1=40:27

I've tried different video_mode(s) but nothing changes so I don't really know what's going on other than is something monitor related

thanks

Re: Chrono Quest Monitor Resyncs Changing Screen

I'm not super familiar with this game but moved around a few screens and never saw a desync. Using a C1 with freesync and vsync_adjust=2 @ 1080p. when the screen changes, the transition is stable like in the video below https://invidious.snopyta.org/watch?v=4RZhynxUzg0 or it flickers? I tried but nothing changed, I ended up inserting video_info=0 ...

What vsync_adjust setting do you use?

as I said vsync_adjust=1 with forced freesync , I've a 2k dell monitor and the setting allows a super smooth scrolling

I'm super satisfied with the core, it's just this specific game that is very annoying buy playable after all

With modern TFT-Displays these resyncs take some time. The MiSTer showing the new resolution is the intended behavior.

makes sense, thanks

Chrono Quest Monitor Resyncs Changing Screen

I just installed megaAGS and started playing this game. The problem is every time the scene changes, the screen flickers and the monitor resyncs with the amiga screen that resizes and the resolution gets displayed by mister . I'm using a freesync monitor (forced freesync option with monitor that matches core freq) Is this the normal behaviour for a...

Request: Exciting Hour

Exciting Hour was one of the games I spent hours and hours playing , do you think might be feasible one day? The HW does not seem too complicated (but I'm not an expert)

Re: does psx support analog pads?

not sure what I did (twearking correctly the analog support in the menu?) but tomb raider III works as Chris23235 mentioned , even if the psx pad configuration didn't ask me to setup the 2 sticks

keep on testing this wonderful core !

does psx support analog pads?

I tried to d/l spyro or tomb raider but using the old digital pad without 2 joysticks is really a pain, I read around (never owned a psx) that the playstation supports a ps2 analog stile gamepad and spyro and tomb raider are supported but despite setting the option in the menu nothing really happens. Is it just the emulator not ready or it's me mis...

Re: Missing directory Amiga

Is anybody here familiar with why the Amiga core would return an error saying "Missing directory Amiga" when I try to pick a Kickstart ROM? I've tried putting my ROMs in /media/fat/Amiga and /media/fat/Games/Amiga (both of which I've seen other people suggest), but neither seems to work for me. I'd rather not drop a kick.rom file in the ...

Re: USB Hard Drive - Can’t get it working

did you mount the fs from MiSTer?

mount /dev/yourdevice /mnt/mountpoint

aside from that , the first (cheap) HD that I tried was consuming too much power and kept stopping, tried another one and worked like a charm

Re: Frotz/Z-Machine support

the same manner as bbond007 has managed to get Doom, Basilisk II and ScummVM running. Since ScummVM runs Frotz already this seems pointless. https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Glk/ZCode Thank you, I was not aware of that. I'll test it and if it does everything then I'll retract this, no point in doing the all the work if ScummVM already does...

Re: HDMI CEC and the MiSTer.

Well this sucks royally. My MiSTer is connected to a 4-way HDMI switch, which then plugs into my AVR, which then connects to my TV. When I turn on the MiSTer with the Lindy adapter connected right into it, my HDMI switch lights up on that port indicating that it's live, but nothing seems to actually go through as my TV says there's no signal. I've...

*UPDATE*

Re: USB Hub 2.1 incompatible with 8-bitdo M30 bluetooth when wired?

nop, it doesn't work for me, I tried all the combinations but after an hard reset the joypad is always stuck, I also tried with the usbc cable but that simply doesn't work, the leds keep sliding back and forth forever. The only viable solution for me are soft resets (changing cores on the fly) or simply using a ps4 joypad (but I usually cannot) :/

Re: USB Hub 2.1 incompatible with 8-bitdo M30 bluetooth when wired?

I've the exact same problem with the 8bitdo SN30-PRO + the usb hub but I never used it with anything else than MiSTer so I was thinking it simply wasn't working with the usbc cable (!) also I've problems with wireless adapter (the red brick) , It works fine till an hard reset, then you've to unplug it , plug it and reissue the bluetooth search (pre...
