Re: AmigaVision 2024.04.04 Released with 543 New PAL Game Settings, Revision 2024 Demos
Part of the issue here is that Amiga’s output doesn’t cleanly fit into a 240p frame, which is why we have the per-game offsets and scaling. First of all, thanks a lot for the amazing work you're doing with AmigaVision. Is it possible to change a game's offset configuration? I just upgraded to the latest version and on my 1440p monitor, Pang has th...

Re: Impossible Smooth Scrolling at 50Hz?
That doesn't work. Even at 1280x720 I can't force 100Hz refresh, it always falls back to 50Hz.

Re: Impossible Smooth Scrolling at 50Hz?
Does that mean that it is exclusively monitor related? Could it be solved by software?

Impossible Smooth Scrolling at 50Hz?
Hi, I'm running my MiSTer simultaneously on a Gigabyte G27Q (1440p, VRR) and a JVC TM-H150C with the following config for output: vsync_adjust=2 video_mode=12 video_mode_ntsc=12 video_mode_pal=1920,1440,50 vrr_mode=2 At 60Hz scrolling is butter-smooth, nothing to complain about. With 50hz content (SNES, Amiga, Amstrad) scrolling on the LCD compared...

Re: Rolling Picture on Commodore 1084S-P1
Hi,
Same adapter from ultimatemister.com and same issue here. It works perfectly with consoles (SNES, MD, etc), not with MiSTer.
@rickdangerous Are you selling a modified adapter now with HSYNC and VSYNC connections (since I'd rather keep the one I have for console)?

Re: PlayStation Based Arcade Hardware
I hope FPGAzumSpass' PSX core is a good starting point for many of those arcade platforms and that someone cares to work on them. There are some really interesting titles there: Tetris the Grand Master (ZN-2), Psyvariar and RayCrisis (G-NET), Tekken...

Re: usb hub no longer reads usb drives
Same issue here, over time the mister usb hub has been less consistent. I do have a Meanwell 4A PSU. Not only external HDDs can't be powered through the USB hub as before, but I can't get all 6 ports to work with controllers, keyboard and mouse, I need to unplug 1-2 in order to get some other working.

Re: USB switch to share mouse/keyboard with PC
I ended up ordering the UGREEN USB switch as recommended here and it has the same behaviour as the previous one: Works perfectly on PC, when plugged into MiSTer USB hub lights blink for a second and then are off. I do have a 4A PSU, the USB hub is from ultimatemister.com and works perfectly with all other usb devices. I have tried only keyboard and...

USB switch to share mouse/keyboard with PC
Hi, Since I have reduced space for my MiSTer+PC setup i share a screen between both and I would like to share the mouse/keyboard. I thought it was as simple as to use a USB switch. I ordered this one https://www.sabrent.com/product/USB-SW30/usb-3-0-sharing-switch-for-multiple-computers-and-peripherals-led-device-indicators/ and while it worked on t...

Re: Vsync_adjust=1 but non matching refresh rate when scaled
Problem solved by myself:
Commenting video_mode_ntsc and video_mode_pal in my mister.ini solved the problem.
Getting perfect 49.9Khz on minimig.

Vsync_adjust=1 but non matching refresh rate when scaled
Hi, I am using the Minimig core on a Gigabyte G27Q monitor (2560x1440 144Hz), which plays nicely with almost all cores in vsync_adjust=2 mode. With the Minimig core vsync_adjust=2 the screens syncs, but i get a black screen from the core (monitor is synced), for example when loading MegaAGS. If I set vsync_adjust=1, MegaAGS loads fine, but I get a ...

Re: Setting up 2 Controllers With 2 Button Combo for Menu Possible?
Same issue here with an 8bitdo SN30 and N30 2.4g. I am not even connecting both at the same time, but if I map MENU to the home button on the N30, then the combo stops working on the SN30 and vice versa.

Re: Shimmering at 1440p
Thanks a lot for the explanation.
I have now Wider HV integer scaling activated for NES and it seems better to me. AR is not correct anymore, but the skew is acceptable.
Also I think, my memory is playing tricks on me and I was definitely not playing NES with such sharp pixels at the time.
Thanks all for your help.

Re: Shimmering at 1440p
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
No, I don't. I still think the background is stuttering. It's quite visible on games like Metal Storm that have lots of scrolling and backgrounds that have many patterns. Is that normal behaviour for the NES core or can it be related to the monitor I'm using?

Shimmering at 1440p
Hi, I'm runnning MiSTer on a 1440p monitor (Gigabyte G27Q) with video_mode=12, vsync_adjust=1 and integer scaling (set at V-integer in core), all cores are butter smooth. Lately I started noticing shimmering and blur in games that have heavy horizontal scrolling (SMB1 & 3, Mega Man, Contra, etc). So I launched the 240p Test Suite and in the Hil...
