Has something changed regarding sync on some arcade and console cores?
MiSTer FPGA sync problems after latest update on:
- Nintendo PCBs
- Genisis, SNES, etc.
Neo Geo is fine, other arcade cores fine.

On a side note I have to use a u-boot.txt file in the linux folder otherwise my USB hub is disabled by the update all script. Wondering if this is a side effect.

Firstly the joystick works just fine in all the Arcade cores. So I've had NEO GEO games working previously on my Namco Cyberlead (via a JPAC) but had to remove the cores due to SD card space. It is probably updating in console but as that runs out of the 15khz range you get that error screen. It is actually updating (or should be)

You will need to select the old update system from the update all configuration menu. I've not updated my arcade setup in a while but this is the 'update.ini' I used in the past, it should still work, this setup did not download cheats, nor any other cores apart from NeoGeo and Arcade. I don't really mind at all but I thought it was odd that when I got hit in Ghosts'n'Goblins that the knight in my captured stream via HDMI was 100% visible on the CRT for a few seconds.

Ok figured this one out through trial and error so will post here for anyone with the exact same problem.
