Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I bought my v2.4, 2 chip 128mb memory from eBay in October 2019 and music still constantly drops out. I haven't tried the latest version released yesterday but I feel I'll be buying a new version of the memory any day soon.

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.07.17 Released with Improved Launcher Reliability

I strongly suspect you have two controllers both reporting as Xbox controllers but with different actual button layouts. The only solution there is to switch at least one of them to D-input if possible. I only have one connected, and I've tried switching the 8bitdo to both x and d input. No luck I'm afraid. I have solved my issue! I simply went in...

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.07.17 Released with Improved Launcher Reliability

Still trying to solve the controller issue and I've found something really weird! I plugged in my wired Xbox 360 controller and everything worked fine in MegaAGS. Then I reverted to my original controller (8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller) and the problem returned i.e. down and down but up triggered fire, buttons didn't work ... However, all ot...

Yeah, tried that a few times. I did see somebody mention it on GitHub where they reinstalled the folders and it fixed it. I'll give that a go next.

Thanks!

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.07.17 Released with Improved Launcher Reliability

Hi,

I need some help! I'm sure this was all running fine a couple of weeks ago, but I can no longer control the menu with my joypad - just giving some weird movements on there menu. Is there some kind of setting etc. to enable this?

Thanks!

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.07.17 Released with Improved Launcher Reliability

Just installed this on my a Mister. Absolutely brilliant work! Didn't realise this was even a thing, and now I'm going through loads of old games without any switching of profiles etc. Thank you! I used to play Nebulus a lot in my younger days, but it currently runs in NTSC. I can force 50Hz PAL from the menu, but is there a way I can change it pe...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I had been struggling with audio dropouts using a v2.5 128MB ram module that tested at 144 MHz. I ordered a new v3 module that is only testing at 141 MHz, but has greatly improved the sound. I still occasionally will load a CHD and have it recognized as an audio CD instead of a game. Usually I can reset a few times and it will eventually boot. I t...

Re: Correct CHD Pack on archive.org?

You need to name your bios boot.rom again. It was boot.bin a while ago, but it was changed back to boot.rom. It is confusing, but those kinds of things are expected with beta WIP core development. CHD works fine for me, using one folder per game, tested with Radiant Silvergun, Bug! And other games. I am still getting CD audio cutting out after a w...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Had to swap my ram and now this is working perfectly with "MiSTer SDRAM XS-DS v3.0 128MB Module" from https://misterfpga.co.uk/. Previously I was using a v2.5 128MB module, not sure of what the differences are - but for all the pleasure the MiSTer gives me, this is a wholesome upgrade and worth every penny. Able to use the update saturn ...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Well, I think it's at the point where I'd like to give it a go ... My Mister has a 128mb module, 2 chip, v2.4. Is this ok? It really was a long time ago I switched to 128mb (blame NeoGeo support! :D ) Thanks I'll quote my own post! Just tried it with Sega Rally and Baku Baku Animal and it runs sweet as anything using yesterday's build. Time to try...

I have never enabled it, so I guess not. I'll disable it using the scripts just in case.

Re: 8bit-do Legacy16 2.4GHz dropping occasionally

Hi,

Yes, it's the Retro- Bit controller.

I bought a decent, upgraded power supply and still got the issue (I bought it to try and fix this issue in fact!).

And yes, I am using a Y splitter for power between the Mister and USB port.

Thanks

8bit-do Legacy16 2.4GHz dropping occasionally

Hi,

I have a SNES Legacy16 8Bit-do controller connected to my Mister's USB 2.1 board. Every now and it drops connection and I need to reconnect. I have tried this with 2 controllers now and both do the same.

Has anybody seen this behaviour before?

Thanks

Hi all, If anybody is interested, I have created a test D64 file including Sidplayer and Martin Galway's best tracks. You can get it from here and run within Mister: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MSrQGVd-N6NaUWGL1scvTTOThAtwZktz/view?usp=sharing If you like it I'm happy to create a few more for other famous artists (Hubbard, Daglish, Follin, Hue...

Re: Recommendations for a Competition Pro Style Joystick for MiSTer

Thanks all.

I wanted a USB one, so the Speedlink looks great.

I had already seen this one but somebody mentioned (in the customer feedback) that they recently changed the board inside it and it doesn't work with the Mister (or Raspberry Pi for that matter).

Any other USB joystick recommendations?

Recommendations for a Competition Pro Style Joystick for MiSTer

Hi all,

I'm based in the UK and I'm looking for a joystick I could use with the C64 core, something along the lines of a Competition Pro. Games just aren't the same with a joypad!

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Yeah, you're probably right in relation to age!

Could this be repaired i.e. new capacitors, or it a more severe problem?

Question about Sonic 2 on my Sony Trinitron

Hi, Got this weird behaviour which I've only seen (so far) on the second level of Sonic 2. Getting brightness fluctuations depending on content in the image. I've tried to record this (see below). Whenever I jump I get a brighter image vs when standing on the grey platform. I think it's probably a screen issue (it's over 20 years old after all), bu...
