If I install this manually, will it be automatically removed / updated when the core becomes officially available with update_all?
Thanks

Re: JALECO Mega System 1 Release: 20230715 (Saint Dragon)
I'm not getting this core thru update_all, even with the CoinOpCollection option enabled. What could i be doing wrong? (SDcard and usb drive have enough space, and update_all is on the latest version) I often see this myself on day 1, with ATRAC cores and some other 'experimental' or 'unofficial' cores, but a little patience saves the trouble and ...

I played a bunch of Vimana & Fire Shark tonight, both excellent and unique shmups in their way! Any day a new Toaplan core gets added its time to celebrate, thanks so much for all the efforts of those involved!

How Does DB15 Support Work and Is It Zero Lag?
Hi I do not have any SNAC adapters, so far I have been using recommended USB controllers for low lag, plus I own an IO Board v6.1 I have noticed a few arcade cores offer DB15 support, like the recent "Nemesis (ROM version)" core. Can someone kindly explain to me 1) How DB15 support works and does it offer zero input lag like SNAC? 2) What...

No vsync_adjust settings working for Truxton
HI I use a flat panel Samsung 1080p TV and many arcade cores will only display with vsync_adjust=0, which is fine. My problem is : regarding the current beta Zerowing core, which now supports Truxton, I have to set vsync_adjust=0 for Zerowing to sync with my TV and it works fine, but Truxton does not work, giving the usual message that my TV doesn'...

Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Arcade Core Released
Something I noticed was that the mra file states MAME version "0220", so possibly you also need to confirm that the ziprom you are trying is for MAME version 0.220 or later

Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Arcade Core Released
The zip has to be named zerowing1.zip but if the zip you have has another name it may not be the good one. Try to rename it and see what happens. The ziprom needs to be called zerowing1.zip and all the components exactly referred-to in the zerowing.mra file (read it with a text editor) need to be present in the root of the zip file. One advantage ...

Getting this working was a small learning curve for me so I made a brief video outlining the basics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RxtIsJk_3Mmoonscience wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 7:43 pm Sorry to be dense, but how do you get this core? Sorry to be dense, but how do you get this core? I just did an update_all and still not seeing zero wing. Does this have to be done manually because it is a WIP? You have to download it from the github link in the first post. See instructions there how to set it up. I figured it out. Make sure mra.exe is in the same folder as romset zerowing1.zip ...

Re: A second PS1 core coming
Will there ever be (or is there already) a way to potentially "dual boot" the DE10 into either the MiSTer framework or any other framework, from the same storage device? Failing that, swapping out an SD card for a different framework is no problem anyway. I guess this may be a redundant question as the MiSTer framework is not just the SD ...

Re: Some arcade cores signal not working on my flatpanel
Thanks zakk4223. Thanks to you I have now worked out how to set custom ini settings per core and I have found that Trojan and DoDonPachi (cave core) works with vsync_adjust=0.
Unfortunately Horizon (and seemingly any other iremm62 game) doesn't work with either vsync_adjust=0 or vsync_adjust=1 or video_mode=9

Re: Some arcade cores signal not working on my flatpanel
What's the value of video_mode and vsync_adjust in MiSTer.ini? Also examples of which games don't work. vsync_adjust=2 video_mode=8 video_mode_ntsc=8 video_mode_pal=9 There are numerous games that have the problem, here is three examples Trojan (Romstar) = briefly shows the Trojan title screen then my TV goes to "This resolution is not suppor...

Some arcade cores signal not working on my flatpanel
Hi Luckily this happens with a minority of games. A few arcade games I try will not display properly on my Samsung flat panel TV. When the issue occurs, the game displays very briefly, maybe showing the boot screen or game title screen briefly, then the screen goes black and my TV states the the signal is not recognised, and I have to reset the MiS...

Re: VGA to RGB SCART UK?
Hi, I have the analogue I/O board 6.1 on my MiSTer. Is anyone selling a cable I can use from this to my RGB Sony Trinitron (60hz) yet, that has all the modifications for best picture already done?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: MSX Core: Cannot get to work. Loads to black screen.
PS As is usually the case I worked it out straight after posing the question in the forum - it's is easy to mount a pre-made VHD in Windows (just right-click 'mount') and add / remove games, and that is what I just did. Just added a big pack of enhancement-patched games and they're working great now! Additionally, I have been experimenting with a n...

Re: MSX Core: Cannot get to work. Loads to black screen.
I wrote a little tutorial on how to create a valid VHD file with Linux: https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/emulating-msx-on-the-mister-fpga?page=1#comment-381164 Are there currently any Windows tools / methods to make the VHD? I can use the pre-made VHDs linked above but they are missing a game or two I want. I'd like to make a lean colle...

List of Reliable Addon Vendors
Hi.
I have just bought a DE10-Nano board, now I am wading into working out what add-ons I need and where to get them.
Primarily this seems to be 128MB SD ram and a USB hub board. I'm looking for a way to find reputable sellers (good quality components etc) that can post to the UK where I am. Is there a list of recommended sellers? Thanks
