Increment/Decrement Type Cheat Codes
Is it possible on Mister? I know some Action Replay/Gameshark codes can be translated into the Mister's Cheat function. But I can't find a list of all types of code available to use in Mister. For example: D0XXXXX 0010 (Joker Command "If" code - if you press triangle) 10XXXXXX 0001 (Increment type code - increase address X by 1) or 11XXXX...

Still sounds weird. Noticed with other games as well... the sounds are either weak or sound only a fraction of it or are missing.

Could someone confirm if Descent actually recognize the Analog stick? I know it works with both Flight Stick And the early version of Dualshock

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Does anyone manage to make the analog work as it should (like in Descent, for example, it supports both the original analog flight stick and the earlier Dualshock model which didn't have rumble but it had the analog driver on it)?
I can't make it work. The controller won't respond to any input while analog or wheel analog is selected.

Still can't make it work with the last updated filters. Nothing happens.
Gamma correction is also greyed out for some reason.

Re: Scanline filters not working after latest update
Is there a "safe" way to rollback Mister updates? Yes, just download the previous Main_MiSTer file. But why would you do that? Thanks! Rolled with the updated cores too Well, the scanline filter is "broke" and I just wanted to play some games at the last day off work Tested the TG16-CD to see if the castlevania weird low sfx wa...

224p? Video_info
I just noticed the option (video_info) that informs what resolution/refresh rate mister is outputting and I turned it on...
I use it on a 15khz CRT display (Vga Scaler off)
I noticed stuff that runs at native 224p shows at 240p (most notably CPS1 games, which ran at native 384x224)
Is that just wrong info or Mister Fpga can't output 224p?

MegaCD O.C/Turbo Option
Any possibility of that happen in the future (like the regular genesis one already does?) Road Rash 2 with turbo enabled is a bliss, totally different game. On the Sega CD is nearly unplayable. Funny thing is that the Sega CD version is the only version that plays the actual tracks (band songs/redbook audio) in-races. It's bigger cousins (3DO/PS1/S...

Re: Neo Geo CD
Wouldn't be possible to implement faster loadings? Or skip loads altogether. Seriously, in either case the arranged soundtracks alone are worth the effort of playing it with loading times. I had a NGCD with serveral games, sold it to buy MVS carts/boards, and I regret it so much. Except for bigger/larger games (Kof starting from 97 onwards, Real Bo...

Re: 100% scanlines?
This looks kind of suspect actually. It might work for you but fail for others. video_mode=1920,48,192,240,224,3,10,7,69750 vsync_adjust=2 vga_scaler=1 forced_scandoubler=1 refresh_min=119 refresh_max=120 Not sure it hurts but we don't want or need forced_scandoubler, we are aiming to output 240p after all. So set that to 0. vsync_adjust=2 and ref...

https://youtu.be/HjTNmwl3jWM I got it working. I'll look into the vsync adjust changes you have. What is your vscale set to? Also you're using 224 height? Re: Castlevania/Dracula Rondo Missing SFX?
Thanks for taking the time answering.
I tested the version from 05/17/2020 and the whip sound is a lot louder.
A lot of sfx still sounds weird or off, but I don't know if it's the game itself.
I tried a version from november 2020 and the sound was already low by that revision.
So yeah, must be... something.

I guess even Hexen runs under Doom engine. A heavily modified one, but still Doom. Heretic is basically Doom 2 with Look Up/Down implemented.FoxbatStargazer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:36 pm When even Fastdoom chugs at times, I doubt anything can be done for Quake engine games.
Really just wish we had Fastdoom II because Doom II runs a lot worse than I.
But there's a FastDoom 2 port.

How did you get 240p@120hz out of Mister? Like FoxbatStargazer said, by making modelines This is the modeline I used for CPS1 (CPS 1 native vertical resolution is 224p) video_mode=1920,48,192,240,224,3,10,7,69750 vsync_adjust=2 vga_scaler=1 forced_scandoubler=1 refresh_min=119 refresh_max=120 You can use this spreadsheet to help you. http://ramos....

Re: Metal Slug turn red blood on
Running under japan Bios it has blood by default afaik.
In fact, some features in some games like Mai's "boing boing" physics are only available while playing on the japanese version, so if you can select that, it's better anyway.
Jap Samsho 2 doesn't show the Special moves inputs though :/

Tried here the Shadow of The Serpent Riders version (I guess it's 1.3 right) and it worked, Thanks for taking the time and testing. It's not that bad! Really... at open areas it crawls to a certain degree... but... it's a 486 after all. Back in the day we didn't notice the frame pacing as much... it's funny to think that most of the "recommend...

Castlevania/Dracula Rondo Missing SFX?
I don't have the original hardware to compare, but I do compared to soft emulation and... the whip/hit sound fx are apparently missing, or at least, too low to be heard properly.
Is that how the original sounded or is something broken with the core itself or maybe it's just my setup. Can anyone confirm that?

Re: Super Mario World Restored soundtrack ROM
Last time I’ve heard, someone was almost done doing a MSU patch with the new reconstructed soundtrack. Not sure if they’re finished yet, but going to Romhacking.net might be a better place to search and discuss that kind of stuff unless you have trouble getting it to run. The good news is that MSU-1 is supported on the Mister SNES core (at least t...

Re: Street Fighter 1 Arcade
Thanks , the work that’s going into this amazes me even got my girlfriend into the mister community If it still fails for you, I would advise getting an SDRAM replacement. I can't make any CPS0 game work. It shuts down the entire system and I have to reboot. Tested both 48 and 96 for like 20 minutes to no problem. Big Neogeo games work well too......

Man I even downloaded a pre-installed package to rule out if there was something odd, but whenever I try to boot Heretic it stucks at the loading graphics screen.
If anyone could try it and give a input to see if it's something with the core itself... Thanks.

Re: 100% scanlines?
I had so far terrible results using Vga_scale with a crt (even if it's the only way to get native resolution with double refresh rate, which still gives strobing and small scrolling hiccups (calculating the modeline "by hand") I prefer disabling it and sticking to doublescan + scanline fx for now. At least it displays the native refresh r...

That would be great since I can't make the Filters look good I prefer using the doublescan FX feature... It gives exactly the same look as using native 224/240p resolution on 120hz in a PC/VGA Crt But at 75% you can still see through the lines dBMqkGT.jpeg Ubdnfhp.jpeg Top is 640x480 + Crt Doublescan FX Bottom is native 224p resolution under a 120h...
