Re: Aliens Core (1990)
The core should be public now, but after update_all it is still “yellow” and unplayable.
How do I fix it?

Can't Upgrade Linux
Hi, I launched update_all , everything worked fine but couldn't upgrade Linux from 221224->230501 due to lack of space on FAT (can't download linux.7z) So, I deleted the existing linux.7z -and a partial download- from media/fat, then run update_all again and I menaged to download the (I guess) correct linux.7z, but the installer gives ERROR: E_FAIL...

Re: MiSTer to Dual Analogue Output Jamma+PVM
Ok, what about eTim SCART to JAMMA? https://www.etim.net.au/scart2arcV20/scart2arc2.htm?
Then it'd be: MiSTter to gscart --> 1 output to Jamma + 1 output to PVM.
Does it sound right?

Re: Sony Trinitron KV-FX29TD
It's all about price and condition, imho.
Keep it mind it a MONSTER to move.
50€ is ok if in good condition, but no more imho. Get a better 29" if so.
If you like cubes, PVM 2130\2730\2950 would be the best choice (I love my 2730), but price is of course different.

Re: Sony Trinitron KV-FX29TD
I had it back in the day, I kept it until 2002. Mine was kinda of a finicky set, took it to the repair shop a few times. Always caps problem. It was 100hz but not *really* 100hz: https://obsoletetellyemuseum.blogspot.com/2011/09/sony-kv-fx29ta-year-1988.html Lag @100hz on CRT anyway is like 8ms, so totally not important IMHO. Other than that, I lov...

MiSTer to Dual Analogue Output Jamma+PVM
I want to use one MiSTer (with analogue i\o board) with both an arcade cabinet (TATE setup, 240p monitor) and a PVM, side by side. My idea is: MiSTer video output --> 2x splitter, then one output to Jamma, one output to RGB (or Component, no big deal) PVM. What splitter\cables should I use for the best video quality and the use of a single INI file?

Hi,
I know all are low latency option to use original controllers with MiSTer, but I'm not sure what is best for each user scenario.
Can someone clarify pros and cons of each solution?

...So the Dual Ram only benefits for the few rare games that utilize all 24 audio channels in the PSX; I think there maybe 5 games that does this. Without the Dual Ram there like a millisecond delay in sound for those 5 games. Odds are unless you got spectacular hearing and knew those 5 games inside and out, you never notice. Just for fun, is ther...

Kudos to FPGAzumSpass! This core is AWESOME!
And savestates are a MAJOR feature, which will help a lot in (re)discovering all the shmup\action library of the console! I really hope Robert will be able to implement savestates on SNES\GEN\TGX one day!

Is there any chance to use PS3 Move as mouse\lighgun with MiSTer?

Re: 1440p monitor: flat or curved?
Thx. So, I'd prefer flat but I guess curved is not too much of a bad. I'd get a monitor for an all-round gaming use, from upscaled 240p@6x (I said 5x but it was a typo) to modern HDR consoles. Is any refresh rate like 144Hz or 170Hz something useful for +60hz games, like DOS ones? Anyway, about research: according to the manual, the Lenovo Q27q-1L ...

1440p monitor: flat or curved?
I've hooked my MiSTer to both a PVM and a 1080p monitor; I'd swap the latter for a 1440p one.
When it comes to play 240p@5x with scanlines, is a curved monitor a plus, a con or a non-factor? What about TATE configuration? For a MiSTer usage, what's better between Freesync and G-sync?

Thanks to atrac17 for the custom INI, I'm using it untouched except for "video_mode=8". My LCD is 1080p.
How can I change the scaling (3x; 4x; 5x...) in each core menu? Which is the setting?

Re: Update all script and Jotego cores
You should have copied only the games directory to the USB drive. What file system do you use on the USB drive?... That was my initial setup (with USB on EXFAT), but then I used the USB version of "update_all" and it messed stuff. I guess I'll delete everything on USB except for "Games", run "update" and then the SD v...

Awesome release!
Any chance to limit integer scaling to something like 4x/5x in future releases?
Full screen image on 1080p (7.5x I guess?) is kinda blurry.
