In the F18A core I'm getting the same corruption in Rasmus's ZQX ONE as you are @edburns

Load the rom/bin with Load Rom Cart *.BIN (unless you are using a M99 version, in that case use the first option)
Make sure Cart Type: is Paged378

Re: Help Needed How/Where to Connect MT32-pi to Multisystem

They most likely did it that way so it can fit in a slim case. You can always modify it by swapping out the pin header for a female header or using a female header on the PI and using it as hat but then you'll need to either not use the case or design and 3D print a new case to fit the protruding PI. You may be able to get a hold of low profile hea...

I can't replicate it so it's hard to troubleshoot it.
Have you tried using an HDMI monitor/TV and see if it loads up that way?

Re: TI-994a How-To

I honestly don't know, you can try if you have the equipment, but I myself, don't have the ability to check.
The F18A core doesn't have a different name (it uses the same as the original core) so it can keep the same configuration and GAMES folder as the original non-F18A core.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 1084S can't handle 640x480 @60hz which is what the F18A outputs.

I believe I fixed the control issue with Dirty Chameleon (played for a few levels a few times and it seems to work now).
Try this out, if everything looks good and no complaints, I'll push it up.

I used fmtownsa.zip from the mame rom set to get the fmt_* files...and while I didn't do any indepth testing/playing around with the core, it does boot and searches for floppy/harddrive...which I haven't gotten that far yet....other events keep taking me away...

hey, I tried playing the game Dirty Chameleon and I can't get it controlling right. The Chameleon can't move to the right, can't use it's tongue attack. Either the controls of this game are weird or there's some kind of bugginess going on.

I'll take a look at it when I get home.

To complete the release I would need to push the .rbf to the releases folder, and once the cores list on the wiki is updated the distribution repo will start picking it up, right?

Correct

Re: Centipede Speed Up request

Mouse acceleration is usually handled by the window/desktop manager (Xorg, Gnome, etc...) , which Mister doesn't use.
I could be wrong since it's been ages that I dealt with it, but Linux, at the driver level doesn't do mouse acceleration.
DPI/sensitivity of course is a whole other thing.

Re: TI-994a How-To

If you are using the official release of the core (via update_all or what not), ZQX One won't work on it and most likely will crash. ZQX requires the F18A video chip update. There is a build of the core on Page 9 of this thread that uses the F18A video instead of the stock TMS9918A. One day I will try again to squeeze both video chips onto one core...

Re: Core Specific Settings Aspect Ratio?

That line is for monitor settings.
I am not 100% sure on the resolution of the game itself, mame states its about 240x224 so try this line:
custom_aspect_ratio_1=20:19
and see if that is close to what you are looking for.

edit: also add this line to compare the two:
custom_aspect_ratio_2=60:56

Re: Core Specific Settings Aspect Ratio?

I’ll try changing that 2 to a 1. I just copied and pasted it from the GitHub page, so yeah, hopefully it’ll be that. I didn’t see any option in the core to select the custom ratio. Is the placement of them parameters fine otherwise? I mean, just tagged on at the end of the .ini is okay? You didn't see any option since #1 was missing. If you want y...

Re: EXT4 dmesg Message

Since it's only loop0 that seems to have an issue and it's not the root filesystem, you can do an losetup -a to find that loop 0 points to /media/fat/linux/bluetooth So you can then do a umount /dev/loop0 , followed by a fsck.ext4 /media/fat/linux/bluetooth . Once it's done, reboot mister and if the sd card itself doesn't have issues, then the file...

Re: Is the sync script an SD-card hazard?

Yes, since the "fat" partition and external drives are mounted with the sync option, the resync script is redundant. May be it was a hold over from earlier versions prior to adding the sync option to mount?
