Re: Launching a Script Without Rebooting The MiSTer?
I have only tried BT with a DS5 controller, but it will re-pair at power-on on its own after paired once. Only thing I have see is sometimes it takes a couple times to pair it (as I think it has to do with how often it times out before it pairs) Then once paired it stays active until reboot and I have to repair the controller but it only requires m...

Re: Very Soft Audio With MegaCD Core
Im assuming you have done 2 things
1. Checked the core voume from the settings page (if you back from the core menu)
2. Tried Alternate dumps of the afftected games..
What games exhibit this, Id be curious to test as well but have not noticed audio issues with games like Lunar which use cd audio and have fmv.

Re: MiSTer Multisystem Handheld Prototype 'Handy'
This would be very cool, Id totally get one if the buttons feel good, Id like to be able to play all console cores, with PSX we have L3,L3,R2,R3 and Analog. Rumble would be really cool like some of the Anbernic RG devices have.
Im part of batch 2 of the consoled multisystem and Id love to see this become a reality.

Amstan,
Do you know how one could launch a core+game from a command? I know Mister now supports MGL files, and I was hoping to leverage your OS to install Emulationstation Frontend, not to call retroarch like other SBCs do, but to use the native cores Mister uses.

Re: MiSTerArch
Can anyone tell me how I could launch a game using terminal command? I know we have MGL now, if I could figure that out, I think we can install Emulation Station as a frontend on Archlinux bringing us a UI like Retropie (and many other SBC) use while being able to call on the native cores and launch roms, rather than Retroarch which would be garbag...

Debouncing? I will look into that, I didnt see anything on it before. Thanks for the tip! Didnt see any info in the readme about debouncing on github, but it seems easy to enable and disable.. #include "Gamepad.h" //#define PS3 // PS3 (ScpToolkit) compatibility (Comment out for joystick=X/Y-Axis and B11/B12 as normal buttons) //#define NE...

Re: Daemonbite Double Button Assignment
I had this happen to me as well, I "thought" it may be the fact I use some 30mm Sanwa buttons for my regular controls and then some smaller (maybe 24) from some other company and figured the button may have a double action as in the actual press is one and the release is the second making it go to the next. So what I ended up doing was ju...

Re: I-PAC 2 supported?
I retired my IPAC and opted for a DAEMONBITE, you reprogram an ardruino pro mini (they are 10 bucks) and you can get 2 (one for each player). Mister will want to see each player as its own hardware id, so while you could connect both players to a single IPAC as they (most) function as a keyboard encoder. Mister is more friendly with joysticks IMO. ...

replace the VGA converter? if you tired headphones and it does the same thing it likey isnt the cable. Nor is there a MISTER setting to only have left or right play. Usually its mono or sterio but both speakers would work.. its almost like the connection on one side isnt working. the 3.5mm jack has a couple poles one for each side and maybe the ada...

Re: parts list help SFII, SFII CE, NES, SNES, SW
My advise is: Get this: https://misteraddons.com/products/mister-bundles It will come with the Nano, Ram, IO board and USBhub (everything you need to get going) 370 usd.. Then for your arcade controls its really up to your preference. you can get a kit, or build your own https://arcadeshock.com/ if you do build your own, build a daemonbite adapter....

Re: How worth it is MiSTer on a modern TV?
I can tell you the MISTER feels alot better than PC emulation. Its hard to really describe.. I also have alot of ODROID or Raspberry devices which are more than capable of NES / SNES and again the mister feels better. I have no issues with using Mister on my LCDs where I have some that are 8 years old and some newer 4k.. The Mister with a good cont...

Re: Super Mario World intro chime/screen & Link To The Past intro chime/screen errors
Do you use a soundbar? I see audio delays (not with MISTER specifically) where if there is no audio (which there isnt on mister menu) the moment audio starts it kinda "wakes up" the soundbar. So you will miss a tiny bit.

Re: Altered beast arcade core with some wrong sound effects
Well that’s interesting.
I guess arcade to mega drive isn’t a fair comparison. It’s very possible this issue exists in the real arcade pcb as well.
If mister and mame both do the same thing, this may be the case.
Perhaps the bug isn’t with the core but the version of the rom itself . Many times there are multiple revisions of games.

5v , and to run many many Addons just supply more amps. I have used a 5v 8 amp to run all kids of things , even a 15inch display for a portable unit.

Re: Place your virtual bets, PS1 or Saturn, which core will get released 1st?
Well its hard to tell. Personally I am super excited for both. As far as I can tell Saturn is nearing completion with games booting.. I saw Earthworm Jim and Bug and I believe they are being ran from the Mister. PSX was discontinued from the first couple devs, there was a fallout as far as I know and while some people say Laxer is still working on ...

Re: Feature Request: Input Recording and Playback
I suppose it would depend on the game.
Crono trigger Snes aren’t random,
Auto record your Mario speed run.
Depending on implementation you could record special moves. Then maybe play them with a sing button.. like instant “haduken” in Street fighter…
Lots of ideas come to mind.

Interesting, if it runs on real hardware (which I suspect it does) it may simply be something about the real hardware that isn't faithfully reproduced in the FPGA implementation.

Re: Street Fighter II' Plus: CE "attract mode"
You not the first to report this on cores. I have seen similar observations on Neogeo core to PCB comparisons where the vloger noted the attractmode changes on powercycles and they needed to reboot the PCB a few times for it to pick the right one. Also during the CPS2 development by jotego on one of the shootem ups someone noted on a real PCB the b...

I understand what your asking and at least the rpi doesn’t allow for video pass through. There are hardware scanline generators, and of course mister does have those or many options at least. If this were possible the next step could even be using this other machine as a FRont end that could pass commands to the mister to launch a game .. I don’t m...

Ok so I tried it again after redownloading and now it’s working.
I suspect it was user error . The RBF file size was not what it should have been.
Thank you all for your time.

Re: GBA 2player core, video issue
Well still no joy, redownloaded a few times, made sure I had a folder in games called “gba2p” .. it was my mistake thinking it would just use the gba folder..
I even removed the bios as suggested.. still doesn’t work no matter what I do.
However I can get the Gameboy2 player working just fine..
Idk what is going on with this one.
