Re: AmigaVision/MegaAGS 2023.04.05 Released!
OK, sorry to be THAT GUY, but I can't seem to find the AmigaVision/MegaAGS file as shown in a number of the videos. I've downloaded a folder called AmigaVision-Master off GitHub but that doesn't contain the same directories that are described in the documentation (IE , so I suspect it is the wrong file.) After watching a few videos I suspect that t...

Yeah, I thought BattleZone involved to sticks to play? Great seeing this in action again though.

Re: Tatsujin Oh Released (Toaplan v2)
Thank you so much Atrac17, another gift!
Also, would you consider adding the romhack 'easy' version of truxton 2 as an alternative version? (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5707/)

Re: Toaplan System 2 Board
I hate to even ask having just gotten the best Christmas in July one could imagine, but does this open the doors to all the other Toaplan games on this board? Batsugun? Truxton II? Dogyuun? V-V? I'm just losing my mind here.

Toaplan System 2 Board
http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=967 Is anyone working on this board? Seems like it is in NullObject's wheel house and whoever did the recent Toaplan games (Truxton, Hellfire, etc.) but I don't recall hearing about anyone specifically working on this board. If you look through that game list, you can see this is one of those holy grail board...

Re: Cave Core Dangun Feveron & Puzzle Uo Poko Public Release
Can't believe how fast these games are coming now. I know Guwange is in beta. Hoping we'll also see Donpachi shortly.
I know, we always want MOAR.

Re: ESP Ra. De. Public Core
Seems to play well. A couple slow downs spotted, but a lot of cave's boards slow down in in particular parts. Will be interesting to hear from the super-players what they think.

Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Arcade Core Released
Sorry to be dense, but how do you get this core? I just did an update_all and still not seeing zero wing. Does this have to be done manually because it is a WIP?

Is this board unique to Zero Wing or do any other toaplan shmups use the same board?

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases
Finally sucked it up and spent a while trying to get the X68000 core running. Managed to get Cho Ren Sha up and just wanted to report that I got a popping sound in the audio sporadically. This is the first time even messing around with this core and I KNOW I'm supposed to be patient and wait for it to be ready, but wanted to report this since clear...

Re: Mars Matrix / Gigawing autofire difficulties
Replying a second time to this because I checked mars matrix versus its mame counter-part and have to say the game is MUCH more playable in mame. You can easily switch between autofire and another fire button for black hole matrix and the powerful shot. I'm not sure what is up with the MiSTer version, but I really think the takumi roms need a littl...

Re: Mars Matrix / Gigawing autofire difficulties
Replying to my post because I think this is a real issue, but one I just resolved. Obviously you are getting two shot buttons by assigning additional controls when prompted (yes/no). What I found was when assigning the auto-fire button to the secondary set of controls, it seemed to interfere with the primary button triggering the reflect barrier. W...

Mars Matrix / Gigawing autofire difficulties
Both of the games lack an autofire option like Dodonpachi. Yes, I know how to turn on autofire; hell, I even have a controller with autofire. The problem is, both games require smoothly moving between a rapid tap shot and a button hold to charge the reflect barrier / black hole bomb. Neither game seems to process this well when setting up a second ...

Re: Dodonpachi Dip Switches / Difficulty Settings?
I might have to finally become a nullobject patreon, beyond wanting access to those dipswitches, it is nice to know he's gradually working toward DonPachi. Dangun Feveron and ESP ra de would be nice on the Mister as well.

Dodonpachi Dip Switches / Difficulty Settings?
Here's my first stupid post. Yes I searched both here and elsewhere, but my google-fu isn't cutting it. I can't find any sort of dipswitch settings beyond what I'm seeing in the OSD menu. Specifically is there a difficulty setting like there is with Dimahoo or many other arcade games. That said, I'm sure the easiest arcade setting still isn't as ea...

Re: Turbo Button Mapping?
Here's what you do: I assume you have a gamepad with at least 4 face buttons, let's call them A B C D Define your gamepad in central mapping (menu core), and assign a OSD button to it Load the TG16 core Map your gamepad once, using A and B for I and II Select "yes" when asked if you want alternate mapping Skip all buttons except C and D,...

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
Kyukyoku Tiger Fireshark Truxton 1 & 2 ...and of course Batsugun I was trying to look up what hardware each of these were on, hoping the earlier games were maybe on one board, but I don't think that's the case. I can see how arduous this must be trying to make a new arcade core for just one game! If someone is working on the toaplan titles and ...
