Trying to find any mini arcade cabinet models for 3D printing. I can find a lot of models for the 7" RPi screens but none for the 9.7" iPad 3 screens :/
Has anyone stumbled across anything?

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄
Just received mine. Didn’t come with a power adapter. Anyone know if the center of the 12 barrel plug should be positive or negative?
Or can I simply use an iPad charger to power it via the micro USB port(don’t know how many amps is needed)?

Re: Coin mech and daemonbite arcade
Thanks!
I found some other guides which uses a 12v relay between the coin mech and arduino and doesn’t use the wire for counter. As seen at 01:00 in this video https://youtu.be/wW5Y_yEe8vY
Is that safer than connecting both coin(input) and counter(ground) to the arduino?
Or perhaps they’re both just as safe but different ways to do it.

Coin mech and daemonbite arcade
Hi! I'd really like to add a coin mech to my bartop arcade, but I'm unsure how to connect it safely. The one Im thinking about purchasing is this one: https://www.amazon.se/gp/product/B08KT72QSX/ I think I found the correct manual for it which is this one: https://5.imimg.com/data5/II/IU/MY-5551405/electronic-multi-coin-acceptor-py616.pdf It seems ...

What encoder to choose
Hi! I’m gonna start building my first arcade cabinet. But the controls seems to be the hardest part to figure out how to do best :) With mister, should I choose a I-PAC, J-PAC, Daemonbite or something else? Or are they all compatible? My initial thought was to use build 2x darmonbite arcade encoders, but not sure if it’s the best way. And should I ...

Re: DVI and sound no IO board
Thanks!
Seems quite hard to get a IO board in Europe for a reasonable price(almost 70EUR with tax and shipping) right now.
I think I'll go with the converter/extractor or I'll take a chance and order one from an Amazon seller, they're cheap but you never quite know what you get

Got it working to looks great!
But now I'm thinking of maybe using my old 20.1" 4:3 monitor to compare with the 16:10 one.
Let's see how that goes

DVI and sound no IO board
Hi! If I where to connect my mister to a monitor with only DVI input, am I able to get sound somehow without the IO board? I was thinking of getting a HDMI -> DVI converter which also has a 3.5mm headphonejack and toslink. I thought I should work, but then I looked in the mister.ini file and saw a option called dvi_mode. The comment in the file sta...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W Support Now Added to MT32-Pi
Great! Any changes needed to the pinout info on the wiki or is it the same? Saw this info in the release notes, so just want to make sure: " PWM audio is available on GPIO pins 12/13 for this model. " The pinout table in the wiki does not mention GPIO pin 13, but GPIO pin 12 is used for something called 'I²S BCLK' (been there since before...

Re: 16:10 screen
Thanks!
Then I’ll stick with my 16:10!
I saw some different examples of modlines here on the forum. Do I need to generate my own based on the specific displays specs. or are they “generic”?
Also last question any special settings that’s needed aside from above or incompatibilities with certain cores given the not so common resolution?

16:10 screen
Hi! Im thinking of building a bartop arcade. I have an old 1920x1200 display(Eizo s2243w) which I plan on connecting via a active hdmi->DP adapter(can handle 1920x1200 up to @120hz.) I’m really bad at displays generally, I normally have my mister connected to my 4k TV. Is my 19:10 1920x1200 monitor a bad/ok/good option you think? Or will the mister...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
I just got it working when I tried placing the cd folder in /media/fat/ao486 and not /media/fat/games/AO486. Think I read somewhere that I should put the 300 pack in under the games/AO486 directory but I might be wrong. Perhaps the imgset command defaults to /media/fat/ao486. You could also try and see if that solves your issue too. Yes! This work...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
I'm also having this problem, Every CD-based game I attempt to play fails with with the same error nizce reported. Furthermore, I can say that going into the OSD, mounting the CD image again (literally just selecting IDE 1-0, navigating to the same image, and selecting it again) causes the error to clear and lets me play the game normally after a ...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
Just setup the pack again with original files, still the same issue though. Tried both before and after running the update script for the 300 pack, same issue :( Dumb question, the error message seem to indicate that there should be a cd directory inside the /games/ao486/cd/ directory, I guess that's just a type-o? ex. /games/ao486/cd/cd/dig/thedig...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
A couple of things: 1. Yes, in the pack the F: drive is the actual CD drive that is mapped in DOS, then the D: drive is a like a symbolic link to F:. D: and F: are the same. 2. GPF usually means the disc didn't mount correctly. If you manually try and mount it using the mister menu, then at the dos prompt run a DIR on either D: or F:, does that wo...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
Hi, I'm having trouble with starting CD games. When starting the dig for example I get an error saying: "No files found -> D:/*.* Add "/cd/dig/thedig.cue" TO /GAMES/AO486/CD/" If I quit TDL to DOS and try D: and then dir, I get a general failure reading drive F(yeah it says F even though I'm on D:) After quitting TDL it also say...

Update update all script?
Hi,
Does the update all script also update it self in the process?
Or do I need to check github from time to time to see if a new version of the script is available and update it manually?

Re: Problem with new MiSTer
A perhaps easier alternative(since you got it working until you move the sd-card to your computer) to find out the IP address of the mister is to start up the Mister and open System Settings menu(on the mister), press left and there is the IP of the mister.
Enter that IP in the field named 'hostname' if using for example Winscp.

Re: Problem with new MiSTer
Ahh ok, just try hitting windows button + R or simply open the start menu and type \\mister and then press enter. That should work, as long as you have the mister connected to the same network as your windows client that is :) Windows file explorer should open and let you browse the folders on the mister(SD-card) If that doesn't work, then samba is...

Re: Problem with new MiSTer
Try to upload the games from your computer via network instead via SMB/CIFS(eg. \\mister) or (S)FTP(eg. Filezilla or winscp).
It won't solve the actual problem, but this way you won't have to remove the SD-card and it'll keep windows from ruining the filesystem when doing checks which it seems to be doing.

Re: USB Hub
Thought I'd try a third time.
This time I used a little bit more force(probably too much ) when attaching the bridge.
And to my surprise I just saw the hub appear when running dmesg.
So all seems fine now
Thank you all for your tips and feedback.

Hi! I just received a USB hub from Amazon, it was probably a mistake. py92pPX.jpeg Didn’t look like the one shown on the product page. It has no barrel jack, but more USB ports. Anyone have something like this? Guess it’s supposed to be powered via USB from the cable, the two ports to the far left is labeled pwr1 and pwr2. So I guess one of those t...
