Notepad got support for unix/mac EOL a few years back (https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandl ... n-notepad/), ++ is still nicer for its syntax highlighting etc though.

Re: CPS2 Alien vs Predator No Sound
Just gave it a test and music/sound fx are working. Alien vs. Predator (Euro 940520).mra jtcps2_20220819.rbf avsp.zip - MD5: D653F588335359F64CA6D4DB844B9A5F qsound.zip - MD5: 758388893761EA3FF0D820F60344A38E I thought maybe the new update_all was grabbing different versions so I renamed the 2 zip files and let it re-download them, but the newly do...

I think it could be worthwhile for some people. If the github page had a description of what it actually does that would help folks determine for themselves.

Re: G-Con 45 and PSX SNAC Adapter
G-con 45/guncon 1 (needs SNAC) and guncon 2 (USB) are CRT only.
Guncon 3 is an IR tracker so works with HDTVs,
GUN4IR and wiimotes are other options.

Re: G-Con 45 and PSX SNAC Adapter
You don't need the Namco adapter, the gun's cable has the normal psx controller connector and another lead that plugs into the RCA Jack on the PSX SNAC adapter for sync.
You can use 2 gcon 45s, they have a T connector so both can use the single RCA jack on the SNAC adapter.

Re: Saves After Moving a CHD to a New Directory
LamerDeluxe is correct. Rename the game's save file (/saves/PSX/<old folder name>.sav) to /saves/PSX/<new folder name>.sav and the core will load it.
Each game should be stored within its own folder inside /games/PSX/ so they get their own memcard created automatically.

Re: bootcore_timeout Not Working Anymore
I beleive this is now fixed in unstable main, which fixes osd_timeout also. https://github.com/MiSTer-unstable-nightlies/Main_MiSTer/releases/download/unstable-builds/MiSTer_unstable_20221009_092cef Edit 2022-11-27: The fix is included in the current stable main release (https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/tree/master/releases), so download...

Re: Game & Watch Core
I can't seem to figure this core out. When I load up any game, it just shows all sprites on screen, kind of like when you pop a new battery into the real thing. I cannot get past this, no matter what button I press on the keyboard. 'A' button should start game A and 'B' button game B, once you've mapped the buttons in the 'Define GameNWatch...

Re: Issue With the Donkey Kong Core Original Aspect Ratio After Update
The ini file wont change during an update, but perhaps there is something configured in there that could be relevant. If nothing else it lets folk see your config/rule things out.
If its only the donkey kong core doing it, you could try deleting/moving the 'dkong*.cfg' files from \config (\media\fat\config) on your SD to see if it helps.

Re: Issue With the Donkey Kong Core Original Aspect Ratio After Update
Yep, original.
Sorry for the crappy phone image:
I'd guess its a setting in your MiSTer.ini. If you post it here, or better yet on the discord, someone should be able to spot the issue.
I''m far from an expert by happy to try and help.

The aspect ratio in donkey kong (US, Set 1) looks OK to me (using HDMI out).

Possibly a stupid question, but have you mapped the controller within the PSX core, as well as in the main menu?

After calibrating the gun within the core (f10 from the mister menu with the core loaded), map inputs as:
Circle: maps to Trigger
Start: maps to A (left button)
Cross: maps to B (right button)

Hey Gyruss,
Yep, both of those cables are included. The cases include a heatsink and (generic brand) fan too.
