Re: TMNT Core is Gone?

You can either subscribe to Jotego’s Patreon to help fund his full time team of programmers, or wait a couple of weeks whilst the rest of us fund it so you get it for free. I threw up a little bit when I read this. Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to offend. May I ask why it was controversial? I don't really care about the TMNT core regardless of h...

Re: TMNT Core is Gone?

It was removed because it was considered obsolete in light of Jotego's more complete but not-yet-released-to-the-public version, I believe.

Re: MiSTer Nuked-MD MegaDrive Core

This core runs SMS games better than the Master System core. What makes you say that? Examples? Not the biggest simple size but two games the SMS core can't run which original hardware and now this new Mega Drive core can: D.A.R.C (the game's FM sound output is non-functional on MiSTer's SMS core). The Snail Maze (8K ROM ripped from the v2.4 BIOS ...

I recently bought one of his SCART switches and couldn't be happier with the customer service or the quality of the switch itself.

Absolute supreme level product.

Re: New 8bitdo Official NeoGeo Controller

Mine was around £34 including shipping (free) & taxes (20%) to the UK, also from the 8bitdo AliExpress store.

Seemed a little cheaper than the Amazon US pre-order route for those in these wretched isles.

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

I'd been playing Pulstar CD recently but it seems the latest core update broke it somehow (an error message now appears instead of a loading screen after BIOS screen). Switching the BIOS out doesn't make a difference. that happen if cd is set to x4 on my side but everything sounds good using x2 Thanks for the tip, I'll try it later. I'm not compla...

Re: MiSTer Multisystem SCART into Retrotink 5x not working

I can confirm that the SCART output from the MMS should just 'work' regardless of video setting, going straight into a consumer CRT.

I hope the variables in your setup aren't too problematic to test.

Yeah there's a tiny bit of glitching but it's glorious.

Don't forget about the later revision found in Alternatives named Limited Edition Hang On. It's far less brutal in difficulty but just as amazing.

Re: Hogs War PAL

Isn't this game also on PSX? Unless you specifically require the Saturn version on the unfinished Saturn core, the PSX core has a toggle for 50hz PAL titles to run at a forced 60hz, which in my casual testing has fixed every awkward PAL video game perfectly. It's an incuredible feature. Edit: I notice this topic is already in the PSX section so I m...

I'm not complaining but after an update a couple of hours ago there's nothing related to Out Run on my system. I expect the distribution issue will be fixed at some point.

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...

An NDS MiSTer core would be a terribly hobbled experience regardless of accuracy by virtue of its most unique games being designed around a small resistive screen input. Efforts to 'consolise' DS hardware for play on a HDTV would be similarly cursed.

Re: Bandai WonderSwan Core Released

The WonderSwan stopped working for me too (it was fine a few weeks ago). It boots to a grey screen (no bios detected, seemingly) and that's the extent of its current functionality. I was aware of the newly separate folders for regular WS and WSC games, and had split the ROMs accordingly a while ago, not expecting there to be a problem (there hasn't...

in my no-intro folders, I have .zip. rar and .7z

all of them are supported in cores like nes, snes e genesis?

I haven't confirmed this but I'm sure it's ONLY regular .zip compression which is supported at this time.

Re: PS1 Based Arcade Boards

That's good to know. Thanks! Would be nice to see the likes of the original arcade Soul Calibur and Tetris: The Grand Master come to MiSTer (especially seen as they've never had arcade accurate home ports before; and in some cases, like TGM, any home ports at all). TGM received a ZN-2 to PSX port / conversion: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5607/

Re: Best Version of Original R-Type Playable On MiSTer?

Pretty sure that R-Type I & II on the PSX R-Types compilation are ports, and aside from them running too fast at 60hz, the PSX video output resolution not matching the one output by the original board and extra console package features.. it might as well be considered the realest deal outside of a legit cabinet. As has already been been stated,...

Re: Aracde Joysticks for MiSTer

You don't have to be particularly skilled at all to have added lag compromise / ruin enjoyment. All it takes is a preference for fast moving action games.. and maybe a little experience struggling to enjoy them as much in less than optimal scenarios (such as, say, an emubox outputting a 720p signal to a 1080p plasma HDTV as opposed to real hardware...
