Re: Black Screen Blues

Okay so this is weird. I turned on my MiSTer, checked vsync_adjust in the OSD (it was set to 0), now everything works even though I didn't change anything. The one side effect is that the OSD menu is a little bit stretched vertically. Not sure what happened, but I'll take it.

Black Screen Blues

Hello. I've been having a problem with arcade cores and black screens. I'll boot up a core, the ROM will load, I may or may not see graphics, the sound starts playing, but the screen is black and my LCD monitor shuts off due to lack of input. Also the OSD menu won't come up. This almost always happens with Double Dragon 2, Gaia Crusaders, and recen...

Re: Analog IO Board V6.0 Fan Voltage

Well, crap. I got this thing years ago, so I guess I'm out of the refund window. I don't know if you can still buy it from this vendor, but here it is:

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'll buy a new IO board.

Here are photos of the top and bottom of the board:

I'm not sure, but it looks like a resistor is bridging the circuit to deliver 5 volts to the fan. Is that what's happening?

Analog IO Board V6.0 Fan Voltage

Hello,

I got a Noctua fan for my v6.0 IO board, but it is surprisingly loud. I know there is supposed to be a jumper switch to switch between 3 volts and 5 volts, but there are only empty sockets on this board. Is there any way to change the voltage on this board? Is the voltage set to 3 volts or 5 volts by default? Thank you!

Re: Jotego Core ROMs Not Dowloading

Weird. Somehow the MAME Getter was disabled. I never had trouble downloading ROMs before. Somehow it got switched off. Thank you!

Jotego Core ROMs Not Dowloading

Hello,

I just ran the update_all script and I got the newest Jotego cores (Rastan, Block Block, etc.). When I run them it says the ROMs are not found. Is there something wrong with my updater?

Thanks!

Re: Screen Resolution Pop-Up Box

Thank you! The screen still goes blank for a second or two though. Is there any way to change that?

Re: Xbox Series X/S Controller Not Recognized

For anyone who is having the same issues that I'm having: It turns out that having batteries in the controller AND plugging it into the USB hub will make it work. Apparently it's a power issue.

Re: Xbox Series X/S Controller Not Recognized

Thanks for the reply! I forgot to say that I am using the MiSTer design USB hub. I also forgot to mention that the controller works great on my PC, so that isn't the issue either. I just tried an Inland brand OTG micro USB cable directly into the DE-10 board and that didn't work. I have a 5 amp power supply plugged into the DE-10 and the hub so I k...

Xbox Series X/S Controller Not Recognized

Hello! I have an Xbox Series X/S controller (model# 1914) that is not recognized by my MiSTer setup. I have it connected via USB cable to a powered USB hub. The weird thing is that when I first got it it would intermittently work with the MiSTer, now it won't work at all. I ran the Update_All script a week ago. Could it possibly be the cable? Thanks!
