Ok thanks all, kinda clears that up, when I first set-up I did all the usual and ran update_all script and saw the general list of mame grabbed titles there, I was just hoping as it's a little slim I could drop my own library in there with it, guess it's not really set that way...

Hi all, so as far as I'm aware when trying to use my own mame collection I need to install my zip ROMs into media/fat/Arcade/mame folder then run update.sh for them to be converted to mra files? didn't seem to work, it grabbed the initial mame getter collection but none of my own, confused...please help

Just to let you know I managed to fiddle around with the ini. settings a bunch and finally got an image going on the Dell, hopefully no more hiccups going forward, many thanks...

Just to add all the dip switches are in correct position and I have actually got to the menu screen on another random hd portable TV just using HDMI to HDMI, this is why I take it to be something with the ini. settings that needs configuring

Hi all, having a bit of a nightmare getting an image to display from the MiSTer to my Dell 1704fpt monitor, I am ideally trying to use my DVI to HDMi cable but also a VGA to VGA I have tried does not display anything but a blank screen, I know the monitor and cables are fine as have checked other random consoles on them but just having a pickle wit...

I did try on an old small HD TV HDMI to HDMI and the menu came up fine but really I'd like to be using the Dell with the DVI to HDMI route, I was just puzzled at there not being any image at all, I'll try those .ini settings you suggested and see what happens, annoyingly my USB hub is not registering power either so can't actually use a keyboard an...

Hi all, brand new to the MiSTer scene, arrived a few days ago and went to set it up using a Dell 1704fpt screen using a DVI to HDMi cable...no joy just blank screen, tried VGA to VGA cable next...blank screen, I'm assuming I need to change some ini files on the SD card for the image to appear? any help would be much appreciated, looks like a great ...
