Does it happen with svideo or composite? Try different cable?
You can't set vga_mode to rgb and svideo at the same time. I think you need to set vga_mode=rgb and run through rgb to svideo converter, not y/c adapter.
Try ping and run mistercast to see if your pc is indeed linking to your mister. If it does ping but mistercast doesn't work then I suggest double checking firewall.
Double check if you're using gigabit ethernet cable. On task manager see if you can go over 100mbps.
Usbip going from mister to linux pc adds around 0.33-0.50 ms according to Calamity so I'm guessing groovy mister implementation could be something similar. Would be interesting to see lag test but I think it feels pretty good.
Did you get it working with just using dhcp?
Which version of groovy_mister are you using? 20240125 (stable) or 20240302 with new lz4 compression? Mistercast with support for the new lz4 is not released as of time of this writing.
Make sure to try PWM version of groovy_mister if you're using analogue io board VGA. Makes big difference on games and videos with a lot of gradients.
Death Stranding with groovypwm
Regular groovy
Ruleset made GroovyPWM. This is great for people using analogue IO VGA.
GroovyPWM running grooby dolphin mario sunshine on analgue VGA to active Y/C composite. You can see the sky is smoother compared to regular groovy below
Regular groovy
For playing GC/Wii games on crt without real consoles.
I tried Windows build of groovy_dolphin and it's pretty good!

480i is slow for me (on Mister side) but 240p is nice. Sound is a bit hitchy and some image glitches here and there but looks great and feels nice overall.
After you've set everything up I suggest trying Remote extension. It makes adjusting settings so much easier.
You could try Remote extension. It has screen shot function. It captures at native resolution so you might need to resize.
New updates (20210121) look great. Using PS1 240p Test Suite color bars, way less red shift on dark blues. Darkest reds and greens also look better. They looked kind of grayish previously. At least on my plasma tv via component.
Is it possible to downscale 480i and above to 240p? I guess that needs to be done on PC side.
Gotcha, so I guess better way of asking is if better power supplies would provide more pool of power for my chain of hdmi->vga->y/c adapter.
Oh cool that's very helpful. Thanks
