Yep, you're right. I can't keep up with how many companies Facebook have. Instagram, as well.

Re: Acorn 28-AKF17 CRT Advice Sought
The Acorn AKF17 is an Archimedes 15hz Monitor, it was built for the first A3000 series (not the later A3010/A3020 etc..), and it's output was 15hz - Heck, you can even use it on a regular CRT TV. The Archimedes core has 15hz issues, and has never been fixed properly for a 15hz CRT.

This is the only mount I know, specifically for that trackball.

They are on eBay as well, but you might need to buy from a Chinese seller, or hope you have a seller in the EU.

Re: Arkanoid 2 - Revenge of doh
Will this work for Arkanoid World ?
[Arkanoid (World)]
spinner_vid=0xFFFF
spinner_pid=0xFFFF
spinner_axis=0
spinner_throttle=50
Or do you just write Arkanoid, in the brackets ?
I have just made my own spinner using an Ultimarc USB SpinTrak, and it's really slow in Arkanoid.

I literally just tried this, and it worked great, and looked as good as MAME.
Outrun, and Turbo Out, on the other hand, both had major graphical problems, including extreme colour issues - lots of green everywhere.

I still have my BBC Master, Cub Monitor, Disk Drive, along with some modern hardware. Great machine.
If you click this link, you will see some more games that have been released in the last few years. Great that this machine still gets releases.

Great game, that also had (like many "Universal" cabs at the time) a great-looking arcade cabinet.

Looking forward to this.

Re: Developing Core for Panasonic 3DO
Good luck.
My own 3DO will never be sold, I have had it since the late 90s when they were all sold off really cheap. I have the Panasonic Real FZ-1, and I just love it's 90s aesthetics.

Re: Floppys and Virus
The way forward is IPF support, then nobody will have to deal with dodgy viruses, dodgy cracks, and crap 90s intros.
With IPF, it just works because it's a 1-to-1 copy of the original media, with copy protection intact.

The ST was a great computer,
It was. I had the first 1Mb Atari 1040ST to hit the UK sometime in 1986, and I loved it more than any of my later Amiga machines. I still have it here, in it's original box, second disk drive, 4Mb upgrade, AtariI SC1435 RGB Monitor, also have a modern UltraSatan, and a SD4ST.

Re: Off the Shelf Trackball Options
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, because of our (UK) Brexit stupidity, buying anything from Europe is a hit-and-miss lottery at the moment.
But thanks anyway. I will post here if I get the Golden Tee working as a USB trackball, when the USB controller arrives in Jan 2023.

Re: Off the Shelf Trackball Options
I also have one of the above, it's ok for the cheap price they go for.
Problem is, you need a mounting plate for it, and I haven't found a UK seller that sells them, only a Chinese seller.

Re: Off the Shelf Trackball Options
Nice. Looks like the connections are all labelled for you.
I'm still waiting for my order (IPAC 2) to arrive, but due to Royal Mail strikes it's marked as late as Jan 6th, so I can't do much at the moment.
The only issue I have of the Couchcade is the size of it, it's too big for the desk my Mister is using.
