Re: Direct Video to HDMI Switch to Retrotink 4K
I hope it works! Let me know for future reference. Unfortunately, it doesn't work, at least it doesn't work specifically for me. The way my stuff is setup now is: MiSTer goes to Input of Switch #1. Switch #1 Output 1 = RT4k which goes to my LG C1. Switch #1 Output 2 = Switch #2 Input Switch #2 Output 1 = CRT via HDMI>VGA>Component Switch #2 Output...

Re: Direct Video to HDMI Switch to Retrotink 4K
I tried the device from the third link, and I can confirm it is not reversible. It works 3-in-1-out, but not 1-in-3-out. This means I'm back on the search. Bummer. Sorry about that. Most of mine are (I guess I didn't try that one in reverse). You can probably get a couple of 2-port switches and daisy-chain them. Yeah, the device in the first link ...

Re: Direct Video to HDMI Switch to Retrotink 4K
The MiSTer's HDMI port's signal is unusual and many switches and adapters won't work with it. What you need to use is a passive HDMI switch that does not take a power adapter if you want the best results. I also have this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313602486642 "Blackbird 4K 4x1 HDMI Switch, Ultra Slim, HDR, HDCP 2.2, CEC, 4K@60Hz 33418"
Oh, if I can just reverse that 3-in-1, I'll give that it a try then!

Re: Some general questions before I order from UltimateMister
Regarding #3, I have a digital IO board but my MiSTer is currently connected to a CRT via direct video. It goes through an HDMI switch then is converted to VGA to component, then goes through a component switch and finally into the TV. Yet, no added input lag, it's exactly like when I played games on the original console back in the days. Don't wor...

Re: Analogue N64 Product
Just fyi this is definitely only going to be n64, they have said it won’t support open fpga. For me that makes it a definite miss. I’m not that fussed about 4k as I’d rather play on a crt monitor. The pad however I am super interested in for my mister. They also never announced jailbreaking possibilities in the past, yet it's always been there. An...

To answer your questions: I'm using arbitrary names for the ini files, the tags I'm using are confirmed re-writable, and I can't seem to scan tags with the nfc.sh. When I run the script, it goes to a black screen with some text and before I have time to read anything it immediately goes to a different screen where I'm told to press any key to conti...

Re: MiSTer Extensions
Unfortunately, nothing worked, even though I'm using the latest nfc.sh and restarted the service after updating. I was able to load a random SNES game, so commands do work and I believe I'm using the right syntax. With that said, I see the script is still being worked on, and that a script from sigboe is being created to have some sort of GUI. I'm...

Re: MiSTer Extensions
Great work with the NFC script! Is there a way to send a command to switch ini file via NFC? It would be great to be able to switch ini with a card if I switch TV. Sure! Cool idea. I'll include a custom command to do that I have a question regarding the ini switching via NFC. I've been able to load games via the cards, but not switching inis. I ma...

Re: N64 Core
I can confirm that the Tribute 64 Wireless controller is working great on Mister too ;) (tested using its dongle) My advice for the mapping: map the Z button on "ZL" (LT / L2) and the R button on both "R" (RB / R1) and "ZR" (RT / R2). If a game is meant to be handled by the first handle (the one with the cross): you h...

Re: Which Is the Better Option for Outputting Component Through Direct Video?
I haven't used a zapper, and I don't have equipment to scientifically measure lag, but from my own playing and specifically looking for lag, I have not found that this setup adds any kind of input lag whatsoever. Controls feel absolutely flawless. I think that if you'll browse the forums, my experience matches others with a similar setup: no added ...

Personally, I use those: Vention HDMI-to-VGA Converter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001935512320.html VGA-to-YPBPR Adapter: https://antoniovillena.es/store/product/vga-ypbpr-adapter-rca/ (with these adapters you don't need to do any of that soldering stuff, it's done for you) Male/male 3.5mm to White/Red cable Male/male Component cable Rega...

Re: Advice for HDMI Users
Just stumbled across this thread and it got me wondering about something. I have an active y/c encoder plugged into hdmi/direct video (via an hdmi to vga converter). I've noticed that the quality of the composite out doesn't change regardless if the encoder is plugged into an external power source or not. The quality is very good, however, and muc...

Thank you so much. I thought I HAD done that first, but clearly the way LG labels it, they are trying to trick you! I'll post the link in case it goes down. Settings > All Settings > Settings > Picture > Aspect Ratio Settings, and there you will see a Just Scan option that is set to auto by default. You want to turn this to ON. (not off as you wou...

Are you using a digital or an analog IO board? If it's the digital one, there's an on/off switch on the side.

Hi! After reading this entire thread, I have a question. I'm currently planning to get the Meanwell GST25A05-P1J as I'm starting to attach a lot of accessories to the USB Hub. The way I'm currently set up is: Default power supply that came with the MiSTer bundle connected to a 5.5mm x 2.1mm Inline Power Switch plugged into the Digital IO board. I h...

Oh, that's a good point! I hadn't thought of that. I'll try it, thanks!
Follow-up question: Considering it'd be plugged to the USB hub of the MiSTer, is there a difference between running it plugged to the MiSTer and running it not plugged to anything?

Newbie question - "Powered" HDMI to VGA adapter
Hello! Long time lurker, fairly new poster, I have a pretty dumb question, but I am quite a newbie so please don't laugh at me. :D After having used it exclusively on an OLED TV, I managed to grab a Commodore 1702 to play on. I've plugged the MiSTer to it via Direct Video with a HDMI-to-VGA adapter , which is plugged in the VGA->YPbPr adapter from ...

I suggest One Piece Mansion.
It's an interesting puzzle game where you move rooms around a building to make sure all the tenants are happy. Some tenants generate stress, some soothe stress, in specific directions. Place them all in optimal configurations and win!

So I was never able to find the Tonton collection on the internet but I was able to finally find a collection that has every game in it's on .hdf format.
