I've been trying to use the cifs_mount script to see if I couldn't load games from a drive connected directly in my router. I'm not a networking wiz, but using the server name, I get an error message that displays the proper IP address of my router, so it's getting seen. Have you tried both the narrow and wide HV integer setting? The narrow one should be the largest integer scale that’s narrower than the correct aspect ratio and the wide one should be the smallest integer scale that’s wider, so one of them should get what you want.
