Re: Confused About ROM Placement?

HTGDB is curated for using on EverDrives!!
For MiSTer, HTGDB has an indication of an “@“ sign if a certain pack is compatible.

Re: WWF WrestleFest Arcade Core?

Unfortunately the guys behind CoinOp Collection are the same from MARS project.
They won’t release any other core to MiSTer so they can try to leverage sales to their product (which doesn’t exist yet by the way).

Re: Can You Change Core Settings Before Starting the Core?

Hi, there is way to accomplish what you need. You should create an MGL file for the core you need the alternative configuration. (https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_MiSTer/advanced/mgl/) Using mgl you can start a core and have specific setup for it, it’s like MiSTer sees it like a “new” core. You could have the original core for general use, and...

Re: Help With Folders Structure

For Consoles and Computers it is like you said.
Each file represents a system, like SNES, NES, etc
You should provide the ROM files that must go in /games/<core_name>

Re: Help With Folders Structure

As far as I know, the default structure for arcade is something like this: * /_Arcade : contains all MRA files.. these are used to launch games. * /_Arcade/cores: all binaries for the different cores are here… loaded automatically via MRA before mentioned * /games/mame: all ROM files reside here, also loaded automatically via MRA In Update_All, if ...

Re: Build Kernel Module

Hi, I have the same BT dongle (UB500, icon shows but doesn't pair) and a wifi dongle that already works. As stated in the latest commit, the BT dongle should work after recompiling the kernel manually (https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Linux-Kernel_MiSTer/commit/3fb48dc16e5d1e68b2b2f4768aef813cac71a392). I followed the steps in the wiki page (https:/...

Re: Getting a near perfect aspect ration without shimmering (SNES and NES cores)

Every core has a different aspect ratio. This is one thing I dislike, because in the ancient times, we played solely on a 4:3 CRT TV.
To achieve this, I configure custom_aspect_ratio=4:3 in Mister.ini, and than enable the aspect in the core configurations…
To alleviate shimmering I also use vfilter_default to Interpolation (Sharp)…

Re: 2 Button Controller Options

As a kid, I had a 3 buttons controller for my Master System, which was laid out as A , B and A+B.
Pretty handy the third button that to this day I configure MiSTer to have the same behavior using a Mega Drive controller.
