Question About the Turbo Tap Option
Hello, I'm very confused with the Turbo Tap option in the core menu. In the documentation it reads this: "The Turbo Tap controller is also supported. This is distinct from the MiSTer's built-in Turbo feature. The Turbo Tap had a specific turbo frequency that is more suitable for some games. Enabling this option will make the buttons use turbo ...

Re: Correct Way to Set Up NTSC and PAL Games?
Look at the following section in MiSTer.ini: ; These parameters have the same format as video_mode. ; You need to supply both PAL and NTSC modes if you want vsync_adjust to switch between ; predefined modes as a base. This will reduce the range of pixel clock. ;video_mode_ntsc=0 ;video_mode_pal=7 Uncomment and edit the last two lines. If you have ...

Correct Way to Set Up NTSC and PAL Games?
Hello, Yesterday I was testing some PAL games for SNES, Megadrive and PSX and notice that by default the hdmi output was at 60 Hrz. My question is how should I change the output for PAL games? Do I need to go to the ini file, change the refresh there? Is there a way to set the MISTer so it changes from 60 hrz to 50hz when selecting a PAL game? I'm ...

How to Properly Configure Logitech K400+ in Spanish?
Hello,
I have the logitech k400+ and I would like to do two things. The first one is to configure it in a way where the F's acts as F's without pressing Fn. The second is to say that my keyboard is configured in Spanish (in order to have the symbols in their printed key).
Is it possible?
Thanks!

Re: Is a Dual RAM Setup Worth It?
Thank you both, I wanted an I/O Board also because of the buttons: if you have a problem with the keyboard at least you can get the menu and load cores, without that I think is not possible, right? Also, the user port, yes :) ... You can always use a controller to get into the menu, load cores, ... Well, yes but only if you have a controller with ...

Re: Is a Dual RAM Setup Worth It?
but it was very instructive Indeed I was totally fine with the high-level answers and that's probably what all newcomers are looking for, but the details also makes this thread more useful for anyone interested in the need or not of dual ram.

Re: Is a Dual RAM Setup Worth It?
Thank you all, guys! I finally understood well the need of dual ram and why it was always mention in conjunction of digital I/O boards :) If you dont need analogue output then get a digital board and then you will be ready for Dual Ram. Only buy an Analog IO board if you absolutely have to. You can still get a CRT signal from a digital IO board via...

Re: Is a Dual RAM Setup Worth It?
I'm a little confused about what's needed for the dual ram. Obviously a second ram stick but something more as the Digital I/O board or that is not needed at all?

Is a Dual RAM Setup Worth It?
Hello all, I'm new to the MISTer project and after an unsuccessful first try with it I want to check all options before getting my hands with one of this systems. I've seen some mentions about the use of dual ram. I know that at the moment the only official core supporting dual ram is the PSX and that, in fact, it only helps with half a dozen of ga...

Re: MiSTer IO Controller Problems - Wired or BT
If it's one of those pre-built units that have an I/O board with a usb looking port (will be a single usb-like port on that board) then don't plug it into that one, that is User port and used for other external devices like "Snac" adapters and what not. If you can, post a picture of your setup. Thanks, I did tried different usb ports so ...

Re: MiSTer IO Controller Problems - Wired or BT
Indeed the problem is concerning the power, I have used a self-powered usb hub to connect there the DualSense and that to the MISTer and it recognizes the DualSense. My AC adapter has 2A, should it be more? I didn't notice in the video how you connect it to Mister. Are you using an official usb board? I bought it the whole thing mounted and I assum...

Maybe the solution is to reset the configuration for the controllers and/or the usb ports? How could I do it?

Re: MiSTer IO Controller Problems - Wired or BT
Thanks, Fandango , indeed I have pared the Dualsense with my Macbook via bluetooth but I have tested also the controller without activating the bluetooth on the computer and it works. You may want to check the USB cable for, one, make sure it's not only a charging cable and is capable of data transfer and two, check it for damage. I just tried my D...

Re: MiSTer IO Controller Problems - Wired or BT
Hello, I'm having a similar problem. I'm not able con connect a DualSense or a SNES Switch controller via USB. I can pair those with the 8bitdo BT adapter but if I connect them with a usb cable nothing happens. I also asked this in reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MiSTerProject/comments/y8fnlg/question_how_to_properly_connect_a_gamepad_via_usb/ whe...
