Re: Atari System 1 & 2

I have been having a lot of fun with Marble Madness – works really well with an old Logitech mouse/trackball I have lying around. Also Road Runner plays pretty well with the NSO N64 controller. However, on CRT all the System 1 games are slightly cropped at the bottom. Is there a way of fixing this, or will it eventually be tweaked when the core is ...

Re: What happened to Nemesis?

Sorry for resurrecting this old-ish question, but I remember that Nemesis was on my mister a while ago but now it’s no longer there. Does anyone know why?

Re: Unable to Cycle Wallpapers Correctly

I also have the same issue. I assumed there was something corrupt with one or more of my image files, but that wasn’t the case because it still happens when I only have one image in the folder, and it doesn’t matter which one.

Re: Minor but Annoying Wallpapers Only Work Sometimes

A possibility, albeit kind of a remote one, is that your SD could be failing. They do that, especially low-quality or counterfeit ones. Be alert for other I/O-type issues; if you start seeing those, SD failure moves way up the list of possible explanations. I migrated to a brand new Samsung Pro Plus 256GB card only 5 days ago, so that’s most likel...

The checker pattern coming up probably means that the file is either corrupted or invalid in some way. Can you try and rule out which file it is and then attach it here (filename intact and everything) please?

There's a few to go through, but I'll give it a try.

Are they on the SD card, or have you moved them elsewhere? Wallpaper and font files really need to be on the boot drive so that they're immediately available when the menu core starts.

They're all on the SD card, so that shouldn't be the problem.

I only use JPG and it works fine. Maybe try to shift to JPG

I'll do a test with JPG. Thanks.

Minor but Annoying Wallpapers Only Work Sometimes

I have a folder with wallpapers, and sometimes my MiSTer displays one of them randomly as expected. But sometimes it just shows a chequered pattern, as if the file is missing. The images are all PNG 1920x1080. I've tried cycling between the different background options with F1 on the keyboard, but it doesn't remedy the problem. Does anyone know wha...

What Adds Input Delay?

I guess the goal for a lot of MiSTer users is to get as close to the original experience as possible, and reducing frames of input delay is one of the key elements. I read somewhere that when you rotate the view instead of the screen it adds additional frames of input delay -- is this correct and does anyone know the exact number? I've also been en...

Re: Recommended OLED Display for MiSTer FPGA

Subscribing to this thread since I'm also looking to buy a new OLED. I was close to getting the C2 on sale after Christmas, but then I saw this:

Too bad the C1 is no longer available where I live.

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I watched the latest Saturn video from Video Game Esoterica, and there he talks about Elevator Action Returns now having working sound. The core version I have (December 1) has bad sound, but I can’t find a newer version. Or is there another place to look besides Github?

Does anybody else beside me have weird graphic glitches on top of the screen? I guess this core is still being worked on?

thx

Same for me.
It’s also named “bootleg” in the list, but perhaps that’s correct?

Wait, so does this mean all Retrocastle MiSTers will malfunction eventually? I just got mine two days ago and knowing that it will not work in 6 months sounds terrible.

Re: Would love to see a Mat Mania – The Prowrestling Network arcade core!

It was called Exciting Hour in Japan and Europe, and I was totally OBSESSED with the game for a while. So yeah, a core would be a delight.
