Re: MiSTer not working with BVM CRT

Can you really send composite sync over hdmi? I thought the composite_sync option on MiSTer was only for the analog I/O board. I'd assume your external DAC is generating normal VGA H+V sync regardless of that setting. So I'm actually surprised you get a usable signal with the HD Fury at all, unless it's just generating some kind of csync itself. I...

Re: VGA Mode Changing for 720x400 and 640x400

Side note, what I'm currently wondering though, is: I understand many people experienced 200 lines games like Doom as double scanned. But a game like Duke Nukem I, 1991, is listed as an EGA title at 320x200. EGA mode 1, 320x200, is supposed to be at 60hz: https://www.minuszerodegrees.net/mda_cga_ega/mda_cga_ega.htm. Ao486 wants to output 70hz in t...

Re: VGA Mode Changing for 720x400 and 640x400

My goal is to have exact vertical refresh timings that match all the source frequencies. Using video_mode=6, etc. is fine for an interim solution, but not what I want for the long term, unless the vertical refresh frequencies match. I haven't spent the time yet to try all these other modes in DOS yet to see how they come up, but plan to. But I bel...

Re: New MSX Core In The Works

Is there a way to load/save progress from a .cas file in Metal Gear? Alternatively, if someone knows of a different way to save the game progress, that would also be great. you could use Game Master 2 and use save disk functionnality. So you need to put Game Master 2 in slot 1, Metal Gear in slot 2 and mount a blank disk (dsk) in game you need to ...

Re: Discussion and Development of a 'MiSTer 2.0' Modular Hardware Platform

...as it’s showing its age and cost are still rising significantly, it’s starting to feel like a dead-end. It's too presumptuous to call it a dead-end at this point. Terasic still makes the boards, if you order from them directly you get them in a couple weeks (when it's not christmas time), the price went up, but it's still cheaper than getting a...
