A scart switcher with 2 outputs would be ideal for your case. Aliexpress sell a lot of different models, just search for "switcher SCART 2 out", don't know if they're good though.

Didn't know about that VGA to YPbPr adapter from Ultimatemister and Antonio Villena, seems a much more straightforward way to connect via component video than using the SCART-YPbPr adapter that I'm using now. Thanks!

You can't put HDR or VRR into an analog signal, you're absolutely going to lose that stuff doing HDMI->VGA conversion (or pulled directly from the mister's own VGA out.) Has anybody tried using one of these breakout boards ?
