Re: Vectrex Output to an Oscilloscope Through VGA Port

That is wild! One day would love to see it possible to use the mister cores to play on vector monitors (ie. asteroids, battlezone, etc).

...it would be cool if the developers could create a build that you can just connect an ethernet cable from the misterfpga straight into a pcs ethernet port. Isn't this just an ethernet crossover cable? Not sure, but I think some ethernet adapters auto detect tx/rx (auto-mdi-x) being reversed. Just have to set different static ip addresses on both...

It's crazy how wide the range of sensitivity on these devices is! I thought 25%-200% was going to be enough :) I've sent @zeosstud a test version with 400%, if it works ok I can roll the same change back into MC no worries. Thanks Jimmy; there is actually an unofficial Centipede build with 800% that's been floating around this forum for a while, I...

No issues pulling up the map and no audio issues. My bin/cue files match your md5sums. Complete mister build from ultimatemister.com w/ digital i/o board and 2 x 128 SDRAM (2.9).

saturn core 23.10.18 and mister build 240110 (this may be an unstable build), OS v231108

Audio is run through the optical toslink on the digital i/o board.

I was in a similar situation with needing larger and larger sdcards, so I just put together a cheap nas solution (rPI based) and have 2 x 5tb drives in a raid1 exported as smb (/mnt/mister).

Thank you for the replies! N64 recent version seems to need unstable MiSTer. What you are describing are Jotego’s cores in beta. You need his Patreon key in your games folder to unlock them. Maybe you had a previous key and need to update? Good point! I should check his Patreon for an update, I suppose. I thought after putting in the necessary key...

Re: Centipede Speed Up request

I've just pushed a new version with a 400% speed option, should be available for update within an hour or so... (the reason it's 400% is mainly because x2 or /2 is much easier for the FPGA and causes less stress on the core!) Would it be possible to get the 800% version pushed to the Mister repo so its automatically included as part of update_all?...

Got it working if drive speed is set to 2X.
The problem above only happens when drive speed is set to 4X.
No idea why though...
The other NGCD images I have work perfectly fine with 4X drive speed

I was able to switch back to 4x on the character select screen and play for awhile, so not sure if the 4x crash is just the beginning.

Re: Centipede Speed Up request

Requesting that the Centipede 800% speedup be made part of the core that is included as part of update_all. 800% works great for the smaller egret ii trackball/spinner controller. Every time I run update_all my centipede is replaced with the version that doesn't have the 800% update (just 400%). Thanks!

+1 on Millipede core!

Thanks for the information, got this today and have been playing arkanoid with the spinner :) Going to download the 800% centipede rbf and see how I like it. 400% on this smaller trackball does seem a tad slower than it should be. save data for C64 game run out of a .zip?

Sorry if this is a noob question.

If I'm running a C64 game (ie. D64) from within a zip, where is the character and game data saved? Is there a separate file elsewhere or is the .zip changed?

Example games:

Questron
Bard's Tale
