Re: DOSContainer Alpha Release

Hi Bas,
Appears to be working fine on Win11:

though as you can see leaving out the .yml extension results in a funky message. Please note that I haven't tried to actually run the vhd on PCem or MiSTer.

Re: Issue With update_all.sh

FWIW, I'm seeing the same message for quite some time, as well. Couldn't find the cause, as the URL seems correct and the internet connection was working.

Re: Individually Bootable VHDs for Each Game

Hi Bas, thanks for your efforts to streamline the VHD creation process! I just tested a few games on MiSTer, most seem to work. BTW a couple of the games cannot be downloaded because the game.zip is missing in the website link (for example, 'Another World'). Lemmings is failing because of a typo in autoexec.bat (C:\DIVERS\... instead of C:\DRIVERS\...

Re: How to Run Problematic Games

FWIW, I'm happy to see Turbo Basic (and applications written in TB) are now working correctly with the 'Full Operation Mode' roms. Previously Turbo Basic would report disk access problems, or crash the system altogether.

Re: UX for the Poor 8088

Maybe Access would suit your needs? It's simple and fast, and if you need more than 400 game profiles, you should be able to nest the menu structure. It will require you to pick the game's executable, manually, though.

Access 3.5 DOS launcher/menu

Hi everybody, First of all, thanks for this great core! I'm the author of the free and open-source 'Access' (or 'XX'), a DOS menu application which I wrote in the early 90's. Because I noticed Access version 3.01 (which is text-mode only) did not work correctly on the PC/XT MiSTer core, I've decided to rewrite it in Turbo C. Version 3.01 fails to r...
