Ah, I didn't know, thanks! And - by the way - what about the symlinked .mras created by the Arcadade Organizer script? In that case no symlink for "cores" dir is present, but they work indeed..

_Arcade contains the cores directory so it and its subs are covered.

Re: update_all removed lots of jtcores and mame roms

I guess I’m not going to run update_all today…

This seems to happen when cores are updated? Every time it’s happened to me it seems to fix itself over the next couple hours to days. But I’m afraid to run the script now until I know what’s going on.

Re: How to create symlink to arcade cores? Official guide doesn't work

Nested folders work but it's not really intuitive
the cores directory needs to be referenced in the first sub of media for some reason.

Code: Select all

mkdir -p /media/fat/_test/_test2
cd /media/fat/_test
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/cores
cd _test2
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/target.mra

Re: Test Switch missing

I just tested all 3 (assuming Dangun Feveron)

It saves the setting per play through but loses custom settings if I change cores or hard reboot.

If I do a soft reboot and load the same core the settings appear to be the same.

Re: How to create symlink to arcade cores? Official guide doesn't work

Have you tried hard rebooting? Sometimes that fixes random issues for me. I have an MRA file and cores linked to /media/fat and can launch them no problem. I just did; mkdir /media/fat/_test cd /media/fat/_test ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/Poly\ Play.mra and it kicks back to menu then I added (from /media/fat/_test/) ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/cores and ...

It actually works (without the need to manually replacing files), but the button mappings are messed up. Pause button is now for the credits. And credits button starts the game. With this in mind you can start the game. Needs an official MRA update i guess. I just came to say this same thing. I tested it as working with the caveat that PAUSE is CO...

I don’t use filezilla but I don’t see why you couldn’t. If something breaks just rename the folder back to its original name.

Hi, reviving an old thread. Is there any way to rename an existing folder? Or delete one? Thanks. I believe you can ftp into the MiSTer and create folders that way. If you want them to show up in the menu they need to start with an underscore Are you familiar with the command line? I use ssh mkdir /media/fat/_target mkdir relative/path/_target mkd...

Would you be able to do a final update on the Saturn core when the core gets buttoned up? Feels like were in the homestretch of development and it would be amazing to have PWM on the final or near final release so it could be the definitive way of playing Saturn games. Thanks so much again! I'll make new builds probably about once a month if there...

I just got a Moread today and the green channel is very faint - like SO low. Is that what it looks like if you got the bad chip?

can you push the shell back and look at the IC inside of it? What is the PN? I have a moread with an AG6200 and it needs hdmi limited.

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video

I have a moread that requires limited hdmi but at least 1 review suggested some of them don't properly. They seem to sell multiple products or revisions of the same product that have various internals, some of which work great and some have problems. Once I received my analog IO I never hooked it up via direct video ever again.

I just loaded Wipeout (3 or XL, wasn't paying attention) and it came up with no problem

I think my screen goes black for 10-15 seconds while the game loads.

Maybe try the Uberyoji boot roms? My screen kind of flashes (crt) a couple times and then it comes up after maybe 5-10 seconds.

Adding Core-specific Settings It is possible to specify different settings for different cores; for example, you may prefer to use integer scaling just for the Game Boy Advance core so that you don't need any video filters for smooth scrolling. Simply add a section at the end of the INI file with the core name in brackets and paste your different ...

Messing around a little more I think you just need to set VGA_SCALER=1 and DIRECT_VIDEO=1 in a copy of your MiSTer.ini

The image is squished but I don't know anything about modelines or what other setting I may need to tweak to fix it. It may just be my CRT needs adjustment but I like where it sits on all the other cores so oh well.
