Do you get a bleep sound when you load the core?

I can't get any bins to load but I'm definitely getting a startup sound when the core loads.

Re: Problem with 8bitdo Wireless Adapter and N64 conversion kit + mapping

These are the inputs I assume are associated with my 8bitdo conversion kit. my controller is wired. The files are; N64_input_2dc8_2869_v3.map input_2dc8_2869_v3.map if you plug your controller in and run dmesg in the terminal it will show the idVendor=2dc8 and idProduct=2869 which you may need to change in the filename if you show different strings...

Re: Problem with 8bitdo Wireless Adapter and N64 conversion kit + mapping

I only have experience mapping the controller as I’m wired. I remember having to try a few times. Something about the C buttons being recognized as either a stick or a d-pad. It’s been a few months since I got it working and honestly I’m afraid to clear the settings and try again. I didn’t have to change any setting in the core once I got the contr...

I just got a Moread today and the green channel is very faint - like SO low. Is that what it looks like if you got the bad chip?

can you push the shell back and look at the IC inside of it? What is the PN? I have a moread with an AG6200 and it needs hdmi limited.

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video

I have a moread that requires limited hdmi but at least 1 review suggested some of them don't properly. They seem to sell multiple products or revisions of the same product that have various internals, some of which work great and some have problems. Once I received my analog IO I never hooked it up via direct video ever again.

Re: PSX Core Stopped Working

I just loaded Wipeout (3 or XL, wasn't paying attention) and it came up with no problem

I think my screen goes black for 10-15 seconds while the game loads.

Maybe try the Uberyoji boot roms? My screen kind of flashes (crt) a couple times and then it comes up after maybe 5-10 seconds.

Re: RGB Issue with Direct Video

Adding Core-specific Settings It is possible to specify different settings for different cores; for example, you may prefer to use integer scaling just for the Game Boy Advance core so that you don't need any video filters for smooth scrolling. Simply add a section at the end of the INI file with the core name in brackets and paste your different ...

what DOS game and how did you install it?
I assume the connection is GPIO to GPIO?

Also possibly check the settings under UART mode? Should be between "Reset player assignment" and "Video processing" in the in-game menu.

Re: MiSTer Super Attract Mode (SAM) is now available - the first game screensaver for your MiSTer!

How can I set up SAM to start back up after I interrupt it to play a game, then leave the core inactive for some amount of time? Start SAM only from MiSTer main menu If you change this to menuonly is set to "No", SAM will always start after you put down the controller. I think that’s what menuonly does in MiSTer_SAM.ini Try changing menu...

Re: YouTube Client Feasibility

Messing around a little more I think you just need to set VGA_SCALER=1 and DIRECT_VIDEO=1 in a copy of your MiSTer.ini

The image is squished but I don't know anything about modelines or what other setting I may need to tweak to fix it. It may just be my CRT needs adjustment but I like where it sits on all the other cores so oh well.

YouTube Client Feasibility

I tried multiple searches and I apologize if this has been covered- (i hate when posts start like this) What's the feasibility of a youtube client to stream 240p content to my TV? How difficult would it be to adapt the SAM method? Possibly with something similar to Wizzo's remote app for navigation and text entry? I think it would be great to be ab...

It works and I think I like it more than the actual core just for ease of use. I can click directly on a game from the menu rather than loading a core and then going through the menu. I downloaded the files from the patreon linked in this topic

Re: My MiSTer Keeps Changing Its (Wired) IP Address All of a Sudden

My router won’t let me edit non-active MAC addresses so I don’t assign static IP addresses on my router.

I have assigned my MiSTer to use a static IP address and have had no problems.

Also you may be able to access your device using mister.local or something similar. You be able to ping just ‘mister’ as well.
