I don’t think anyone is going to link directly to BIOS files. I could be wrong.
If you search the archive you’ll find them.

It takes a little longer than 60 seconds but it works for me.
I had to run the script and let it auto configure. Not sure if that helps you.
You could leave the folder in place and add a link in /media/fat/
As far as I know you would want .neo files. I could definitely be wrong.
Sorry for the big edit if you saw beforehand...
In this picture _@Favorites should be at the top level.
If you want the folders inside of _@Favorites to be a the top level then move them out of _@Favorites.
Specifically to /media/fat/_@Currently Playing
I am guessing your NeoGeo roms are in zip format and if you unzip them they are something crom0, fpga, m1rom...?
I was using the zipped roms and the games wouldn't show in my menu but since I switched to .neo files all the games show.
Did you try deleting the 'organized' folder and running the scripts again?
add an underscore before the @
_@Favorites

The scripts you referenced here.
You need to find the bios files. They are easy to find.
AmintaMister wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 4:59 pmAh, I didn't know, thanks! And - by the way - what about the symlinked .mras created by the Arcadade Organizer script? In that case no symlink for "cores" dir is present, but they work indeed..
_Arcade contains the cores directory so it and its subs are covered.
I guess I’m not going to run update_all today…
This seems to happen when cores are updated? Every time it’s happened to me it seems to fix itself over the next couple hours to days. But I’m afraid to run the script now until I know what’s going on.
Nested folders work but it's not really intuitive
the cores directory needs to be referenced in the first sub of media for some reason.
Code: Select all
mkdir -p /media/fat/_test/_test2
cd /media/fat/_test
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/cores
cd _test2
ln -s /media/fat/_Arcade/target.mra
I just tested all 3 (assuming Dangun Feveron)
It saves the setting per play through but loses custom settings if I change cores or hard reboot.
If I do a soft reboot and load the same core the settings appear to be the same.
Hit the menu button and click on service mode again. Saved my settings.
I only tested Dodon Pachi
I don’t use filezilla but I don’t see why you couldn’t. If something breaks just rename the folder back to its original name.
check your downloader.ini
does this line exist?
Code: Select all
[mrext/all]
db_url = https://github.com/wizzomafizzo/mrext/raw/main/releases/all.json
or if you don't want everything;
Code: Select all
[mrext/remote]
db_url = https://github.com/wizzomafizzo/mrext/raw/main/releases/remote/remote.json
you can also download it directly here
after defining the buttons scroll down and hit save.
Do you get a bleep sound when you load the core?
I can't get any bins to load but I'm definitely getting a startup sound when the core loads.

Have you tested your SDRAM?
I'm using an analog IO to component and it displays properly on my CRT using a custom MiSTer.ini
