Re: Magnavox Odyssey (1972) Core - The 1st console

This core would be pretty cool. It could have overlays in the same manner that the Vectrex uses them. It doesn't really matter if it's a real game "console" as it is an electronic device you connect to your video display to play games. The idea with FPGA is to preserve original hardware is it not?

Re: update_all From Computer?

When the original updater script first came out the only way to use it was to ssh into the MiSTer and run the script. It really was a game changer. We used to have to manually update everything. Just use Putty, it's free and a very basic terminal emulator

I can also confirm Gradius II works fine, although I suck and can't get very far into the first level. I didn't even know a sequel came out on famicom.

I don't know what to tell ya but it works over here just fine

Just picked up one of these http://www.2600-daptor.com/Jaguar-daptor.htm I'm not sure if anyone is interested but they work great with the core for what games will run. All the numeric keys work just fine. Shipping came very fast up here in WA state in the US. I've been playing Defender 2000 for about 20 minutes and feels like I'm at some 90s rave ...

I think it would be cool for DOOM. That was the only game I remember using it for back in the day and man it took so much effort to put 2 TVs, and 2 PS1s together and find power for everything, just the have the space for this one time event with the kids down the street who you didn't really like that much anyway. I don't know, there are so many f...

It's probably not possible to get that snes controller user port thing to work with the core for Attack of the Petscii Robots? It's one of the only games I mess around in C128 40 column mode. Probably too much work for one game huh? sorry guys, you can just remap keyboard to joystick controls. I've been a MiSTer user since 2018 and I'm still stupi...

TAS NES core return?

How possible is it to bring the TAS version of the NES core back from the dead? I know it was buggy and sometimes didn't work but it was awesome to watch real TAS on a CRT through the NES core. I still fire up the version that used .polls and .frame to watch unbelievable Tetris or Mario 3 TAS runs. or maybe I was one of a few that really enjoyed th...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

Have mine on a NAS also. No issues here. But you have the core itself on Micro SD, right? That's correct I messed up part of the script to install the bios. I removed that part and now this is a pure core updater script and hopefully will work better. I am working on a separate Saturn bios script instead that I will release later. Try running the ...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

I have written a small script that will update the Saturn core to the latest successful build from the workflow. It will also look for your Saturn directory and download the US bios if a bios is not already present. If it can not find an existing Saturn directory it will be created for you and the bios will be downloaded into the created directory...

Re: Setting Up a Home NAS for MiSTer Think About Using RetroNAS

I use RetroNAS for 3 MiSTers have around the house and it's truly wonderful. I don't need to transfer save files between MiSTers any longer. I have one central location to manage everything. I have every single PS1 game at my finger tips (even though I have no time to play) and many other full disc sets. It also works amazing for PS2 and Gamecube. ...

I am using the one recommended here, just remember to change the region on mister menu, because otherwise there is a text saying the console is not compatible with the region
You can also use a region free bios to make things simple
