i have the same problem..only 2 or 3 games can be started (e.g. Virtual Racing/Fighter wont come up). Could it be a problem of a bad roms set?Deddrick wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 4:25 amhaving the same trouble, still there after update...what's wrong?douglasamcintosh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 10:30 pm I get nothing over hdmi, just comes up no signal?

Re: Descent 2 have music?
I assume that's because the background music is CD Audio and the ao486 core doesn't currently handle that. Games like Mechwarrior 2 or Shadow Warrior would also need support for CD Audio. I remember it was necessary to connect an extra cable from CD Drive to Mainboard on a real PC to support that. Do you know if this feature is planned in the futu...

Re: MiSTer in Pi Top Case 2020
Some small update about my Mister Pi Top Setup. I’ve redesigned the USB Board on the right side which does match much better than my temporary solution. The right USB Port is now a stacked port. Used IC is the GL850G in minimal configuration. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg In Real: 4.jpg On the left side i've integrated an headphone jack. Selectable via the swi...

Re: Small screenshots of each game in Main Menu
Even when I was using Retropie, which has this ability, I always had a laptop on the side with something like Gamebase running. There is just so much other media and info aside from screenshots/covers, and I much prefer MiSTer's current snappiness and simplicity, so even if there was some sort of frontend I doubt I'd use it at all. Yes propably th...

Re: Small screenshots of each game in Main Menu
The ARM side of the DE-10 nano is slow so it will probably make browsing the file list somewhere between noticeable slower to really slow. Much slower than e.g. emulationstation? I thought about running lxde on such device tiny screenshots shouldnt be a problem.. Or switching of the wallpaper in the main background are quite fast. But probably you...

Textsize during running update or other scripts
I detected since one of the last mister update the textsize or resolution for running updater.sh, update_all also, ini_settings script was changed. Unfortunately the textoutput is very small since then. Is there any option to change the textsize during the scripts? Thanks

Have you also tried standard 1920x1080p 60hz? Unfortunately i habe only the pitop v1 here. But what i can say it only accepts the native resolution 1080p and no other. Maybe this is also valid for the v2?

MiSTer in Pi Top Case 2020
1.jpg I finally finished my Mister Setup in the Pi Top Case. I don’t know how much has built the Pi Top Case but for those who thinking about it in these days, it isn’t as much difficult to finish it. The Pi Top Case which is not cheap (but feels a quite cheap in my hands) but it is still available at RS Online in 2020. I can recommend the effort ...

Re: Hiding Cores in Which I Am Not Interessted In?
I think a good solution would be one INI setting to decide if a filter was INCLUSIVE or EXCULSIVE and then an exclude list PER tracked set of cores, so you could easily filter out consoles, arcade or computer cores as you wish. With the inclusive set as TRUE, anything listed would be updated, and the rest ignored. So something like this FILTER_INC...

Hiding Cores in Which I Am Not Interessted In?
Hi
it is possible to hide the cores in the main menu in which i am not interessted in?
For example for fewer clicks in the selection and to get a better overview
(It doesnt matter for me if the cores will be still updated via script but they remain hidden).
Thanks

Re: Individually Bootable VHDs for Each Game
But making individual VHDs for each game, it seems the VHD might as well include the system, at least if its DOS which I am thinking is the main intent anyway. DOS does not really take up more than a disk if its just to boot a game. A DOS 6.22 or 7.1 bootdisk can be made the same way I made the FreeDOS bootdisk. Especially when also adding sysctl ...
