Re: Neo Geo and Update_All problem
The only way i can get anything to work is if my games folder is called NEOGEO. I created a new folder called NeoGeo and put a single game in there for testing purposes. When I load the core it goes straight to the NEOGEO folder. I can back out of that and select the NeoGeo folder and select the game. I saved settings. But when I reboot it goes bac...

Re: Neo Geo and Update_All problem
Thanks Wave but that didn't work either. Deleted all the NeoGeo files, didn't work. Then renamed the whole config file, same result. There has to be a file somewhere that tells the core where to look for the games folder.

Re: Neo Geo and Update_All problem
Sorry but I am clueless about this .. thing. I am on this screen. I tried X on the controller and it does nothing. The only options I have is to hit escape or F12 to go back to the load ROM set screen. You can see it's looking for a folder NEOGEO, when the games are in NeoGeo.

Re: Neo Geo and Update_All problem
The core was updated 11 days ago. I tried reverting back to NeoGeo_20211214.rbf but still get the same problem.
No matter what I do I can't back out to another directory. What is the ".."?

Neo Geo and Update_All problem
Can someone confirm the correct name of the Neo Geo folder in the games directory please. Mine was NEOGEO. Today I ran update_all and it was giving me an error saying it couldn't check the NeoGeo bios files. I looked at the log and it was looking for the files in a folder called NeoGeo. When I renamed the folder to NeoGeo, update_all ran perfectly ...

This is amazing
Download link is in the video description. Just bump up the REU memory in the C64 options or it won't work.

Spanish Crazy Kong weirdness
I was just giving the Spanish Crazy Kong a try when something weird happened. It's a lot easier than Donkey Kong so I was getting along nicely on 334700. Then on level 12 barrels it gave me a kill screen

Re: Mega-AGS game bugs
Does anyone know when you run the Mega-AGS are the floppy drives disabled? The reason I ask is I was playing Frontier Elite II. On a floppy I have some good game saves but when I mount the floppy and try to load them from the game it fails to recognise DF0. I did manage to move some game saves to the hard drive but then ran into another problem. Th...

I'd never played Bubble Bobble until I got the MiSTer. What a brilliant game. I went through the alternative versions and have the same problems as bazza_12, most of the alternative version aren't working. Re: Moving games to External Hard Drive
FoxbatStargazer, I looked at the options and it gives me two options to choose
games/mame
_Arcade/mame
Neither of which I want. It doesn't allow me to input my own location

Re: Moving games to External Hard Drive
I moved my games folder to a USB memory stick and everything runs fine. The problem is when I run the update all script. It detects no games on the SD card and creates a new games folder and proceeds to download every Mame rom again. Am I right in thinking if I add the line ROMDIR=/usb0/games/mame to the update_mame-getter.sh file it will fix this ...

Re: Default scanlines on for all cores
Thanks Chris23235. I set a default vfilter value in the main core section. Then I set the scanlines for main ini and a different value for alt ini. It works perfect now

Re: Default scanlines on for all cores
Still can't get it to work. I deleted the SNES_scaler.cfg. I added in ini file with the vfiler_default settings. Now when I go to the SNES core menu it reads:
Scale Filter - Custom
< none >
And when I change to my alt ini which I set to a different scaler it also reads

So if I turn off the filters in the core menu and set it back to 'internal' the core will load the filters I set in the ini?

Re: Default scanlines on for all cores
I have my main ini set up nicely for 5x scaling and everything looks crisp with nice scanlines. I now want an alternate ini which will create a smaller display size with borders. This works fine but I want to change the filters for each core. I have tried this but it doesn't change anything [SNES] vfilter_default=Hi Res Core Filters/2x_Scanlines_30...

Re: Preserving Arcade Core High Scores
Thanks Jimmy.
I managed to get the Stern version to save. I opened the menu, turned off autosave, then saved settings, then reset. Then turned on autosave, saved settings, then reset. It was saving the scores after that.
I'll delete the old version as I tried the above solution with it and it didn't work.

Scramble isn't saving high scores now. I now have two versions on my list, the original Scramble and Scramble Stern version 1. Both have automatic saving switched on, but neither save their scores.

Re: Dodonpachi Dip Switches / Difficulty Settings?
I tried it this afternoon and went to reassign the keys. I got these key settings
Right, Left, Up, Down
Fire1, Fire2, Auto
Start, Coin
I think there might have been a pause button as well. But no Service button

I noticed this a few weeks ago. Have you run the update script? You'll get the latest version. The old one on the list is obsolete
