Re: Have we reached perfection?
Absolutely spectacular that we have Satellaview support now! It's amazing because this is one of those obscure consoles that are impossible to play via normal means. Thanks so much to the team! I wanted to report that every game I came across works perfectly, except BS Fire Emblem. No version of that game will load for me so I wanted to see if anyo...

Re: Colecovision Keypad Keys?
I recently purchased two Super Famicom NTT Datapads and a SNES Raphnet adapter V2: https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/snes2usb_2player_adapter_v2/index.php. IMO this is the very best controller option for MiSTer. Every core can be played with it and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend this over the Jaguar controller option. Super Famicom NT...

Re: Atari 2600
@KremlingKuthroat19 I suggest you add this feature request to the Atari 2600 core GitHub. That's what I did with the pause button one. There it i's more likely to get more developers attention. I also think this is a needed feature and second your request. I'm also considering suggesting optional stereo sound for the earlier games and homebrews th...

Re: Atari 2600
I saw the Atari 2600 got an update today adding a second fire button. I'm so glad to see that the Atari 2600 core keeps getting love since we just got pause button support recently too. I hope that one day it'll be as mature as other cores like the SNES and Genesis cores. Anyways, I have a feature request. Some Atari 2600 games use both the Black a...

Re: request: squashfs in the linux kernel
I'm no expert whatsoever on the topic of compression and decompression. I have experience using CHD and love using it in Retroarch because it not only shrinks the file sizes drastically, but it conveniently makes each bin/cue into a single file with a CHD extension. It's very clean and snappy. I'm wondering if you created a CHD and zipped it if it ...

Re: Atari 2600
I'm not sure about Sega CD, but TurboGrafx-CD has no multi-disc games. That's good to know regarding TurboGrafx-CD not having multi-disc games. The Sega CD has a few multi-disc games and it's easy to switch to them on the fly as long as they're in the same folder. The Atari 2600 has a few Starpath Supercharger games that have multi-discs that need...

Re: Unibios change region defaults.
Setting Neo Bomberman to US localizes the game in English as opposed to Spanish when set in Europe mode so it's worth setting it to the US region for this game in particular.

Re: Atari 2600
I haven't seen it mentioned on the Github wiki on Retromaster's website or on the compatability list but does this core support Starpath Supercharger cassette games? The games seem to work perfectly on the Stella emulator, but I couldn't get any of them to run on MiSTer. I didn't notice any Starpath Supercharger games listed in the compatability sh...

Re: Vectrex Core
Adding overlays was a huge deal for the Vectrex MiSTer core. It adds that polish and charm to the Vectrex games that was lacking before. :) So far, the only things that seem to be missing now are light pen support for games like Animaction, Art Maaster, and Melody Master and 3D Imager support for games like 3D Crazy Coaster and 3D Mine Storm. I've ...

Turbo controller support?
I can't seem to figure out how to use the turbo buttons on my MiSTer. I'm a brand new user to the MiSTer scene (just got my De-10 Nano a couple of days ago). I've mapped the buttons for the NES core, but I can't figure out how to map turbo buttons or enable turbo mode on the NES core for games like Contra and Silver Surfer. Does anyone here know ho...

Re: Game & Watch Core
It might be an unpopular opinion @pierco, but I'm all for you finishing the Supervision core first then going back to the Game & Watch core. The reason is that MiSTer already has all four Game & Watch Galleries playable on the Game Boy cores which unlocks over half of the Game & Watch library. They're the definitive ways to play G&W...

NEC PC-FX
Some people probably rolled their eyes looking at the title of the thread lol. The PC-FX was NEC's completely botched follow-up to the hugely successful PC Engine in Japan. It completely killed all of the momentum and goodwill they generated with the PC Engine. It's not a very good console and is filled with FMV anime games, but I just wanted to cr...

Re: Unaccounted for Console/Handheld Cores?
If there was one system that I would DREAM of seeing, it would be: Apple 2 GS. I loved that computer so much. Oops, this is console/handhelds section. I created this thread, but didn't mean for it to be exclusively for console/handheld cores. That's just my field of expertise. I'm no avid PC gamer, but any and all suggestions are welcome here! :D

PDF reader for game manuals?
One thing that is really important when playing games pre 5th generation is manuals. It's very difficult to know what you're doing in an Atari 2600 or ColecoVision game if you don't have a manual. Would it be possible or easy to implement a PDF manual reader within the MiSTer config? Manuals are a very important aspect of retro gaming that doesn't ...

Re: 3DO
3DO is kind of like the original Xbox in that it's greatness lies in the fact that it's got the best console ports of games. I think that Wolfenstein 3D on 3DO is the definitive experience. It adds all of the Jaguar content, but with orchestrated music. Escape from Monster Manor is a fantastic hidden gem Doom clone that's exclusive. The EA sports g...

Re: Unaccounted for Console/Handheld Cores?
I'm a big Atari fan and would love to see the Lynx emulated as well as get the 7800 core and Jaguar cores. If those three cores are completed, then all console/PC Atari hardware will be preserved. If that happens someday, it'll be a great day

Re: 32X
32X will eventually happen because I hear that its architecture is similar to the Sega Saturn. I'm no hardware engineer so I have no idea how similar, but if a Saturn core is created, which will happen someday, that means a 32X core would also be likely. At least that's my amatuerish perspective. I don't think Saturn or 32x will ever happen on MiS...

Re: Unaccounted for Console/Handheld Cores?
I haven't purchased a DE-10 Nano yet. I plan on doing so within the next year or so. I plan on moving in the next 6 months to a year and then I'll buy a new low latency TV and then I'll buy a MiSTer setup then. It's just a logistics issue currently, but the way I look at it is that the MiSTer device will be a lot more polished and have a few more c...

Unaccounted for Console/Handheld Cores?
I'm a brand new member of the forum and wanted to introduce myself quick. I found out about MiSTer and FPGA emulation after watching Simply Austin's latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZxKc3vIQVU I've never heard about FPGA emulation or hardware emulation until about a week ago. I've done a lot of research on MiSTer and FPGA emulation an...
