Re: Why doesn't Mega CD / Sega CD core have cheats?
the Sega/Mega CD core can use cheats but not the same way as the other console cores
The cheats need to be zipped individually and place inside the folder of the game the cheat is for

Re: Best Launcher?
Arcade Game Selector is the cleanest looking and the best on amiga but that is only my opinion but the longest and more manual work needed Tiny Launcher you just need to tell it where games and demos are and it will scan and add them for you but the interface is not as nice as AGS imo xbench is pretty much same as tiny launcher but unless you pay f...

Re: SDRAM update discussion
my understanding was not the speed of the chips as they ok when used on single chip pcb but the way 2 chips are accessed on the one pcb due to the design because of the amount of io available i could be totally wrong as it does not cause me any problems at the moment so i have not taken a 100% interest in it Or it could even be something else as NE...

Re: Is it worth to redesign the MiSTer?
The MiSTer is best left modular imo there is a few choices like blisster instead of a usb hub ect
There is nothing stopping you from making a pcb with everything you want though and others may want the same things
there was an all in one io that did not go down well at the time esp when we got the 128mb ram and people had to buy a new io and ram

Re: hello all and megacd core question
You can use a region free bios.
Or rename the euro bios to cd_bios.rom and place a copy of it into each of the games folder that needs it.

Very cool! How did you manage to do this? 😎😋 First, download r57 compressed file Then burn content to USB stick Configure WinUAE settings, add USB Drive and add second 30 Gb HDF file Boot and copy content from USB mounted disks to HDF file Move HDF to MiSTer, boot Minimig and configure RG and shared folder There you go..... i just renamed .HDF

Re: SuperJacob Core
On MISTER set the joystick to Atari. The OS settings are just what I last tested. Real hardware has configurable IO so you can use any input device, I've set up the joystick interface with MiSTER to be the Atari protocol. In the OS you can type "joy0 1" or "joy1 1" to change back from megadrive to normal. Typing joytest will sh...

it did work here but changing the option did not work so took a look at mame and the dip is 27 not 28 try deleting the dip setting for van van car in the config dip folder on mister as just changing the default should have fixed it but with no option to change it adding the <dip bits="28" name="Missile effect" ids="Off,On&q...

Re: Where's the Speccy love?
GBA has some titles that use more then 32MB if you have the 128MB addon all though they will use the ddram if you dont so its not actually needed but is recommended i think i will wait to see what happens before rushing out for a new ram board

Re: Freewheel?
if you just extract this to the wbstartup folder then reboot the amiga it will work
i had to put it in a 7z file but inside there is the lha that you can extract to the wbstartup folder all the files needed for freewheel to work are in there
no need to edit startup file or anything it will just load and work after reboot

you will find almost all craftgold Games do not work on minimig when using anything other then the 68000 cpu
the 68020 is still not fully implemented/bugged it was traced to VBR but not where or what was causing it as far as i remember
Edit: Graftgold not Craftgold games

Yeah it does not use MRA files so adding a mem requirement to MRA would not help there as NEOGEO used carts at home and in the arcade its classed as a console under MiSTer
