Re: The MiSTress An Amiga I/O Board for the MiSTer

Just as little update on this - if you have watched the video you will know it arrived with a broken power switch due to the packaging - that turned out not to be a problem as I showed in the video. 8bits4ever have proactively reached out to me on this build. They are doing everything they can to fix the power button and have also provided build in...

The MiSTress An Amiga I/O Board for the MiSTer

TitleIOMist.png A little video of my experience of this I/O board for the Amiga case to use with a MiSTer FPGA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpM-SMr-S28 Purchased from my own money - you can see more here where I brought the MiSTress. https://www.8bits4ever.net. I probably went the long way about building this - but hey - sharing is caring ! :)...

What do you think? Is this something you like to support or is this something you say " no and never ". Well I did send you a postcard and a little shocked after all the work you do - only one other person have bothered here to be honest. Typical "take take take" and give nothing back - people don't want to hear this, but they ...

Thank You Devs - Core Accuracy

The accuracy of some of these cores is outsanding in my opinion and truely brings back muscle memory from days gone by on games that we were good at. I love New Rally X and have always championed how much better on the MiSTer it was and how I could aways get at least 20K further then what I did on MAME. Played Moon Patrol for the first time on the ...

Re: Joust

Little update - through blind luck I have sorted this.

In order for the saved config to take effect, once the core has loaded for Joust or Space Invaders, I have to press 1 Player, then it allows me to insert the credit ? ? ?

It works on both cores - if I don't press one player before hand - no coins are entered when I try to use this function.

Re: Joust

This truely has me stumped - tried just now. - Deleted map files, all gone and checked. - Defined joystick in MiSTer works fine in menus. - Loaded arcade core and reset player assignment and defined buttons, works fine. - Saved settings. - Loaded core again, not working. It's like the inpuits are not loading. They have been saved. 2021_09_21_20_45_...

Joust

Could somebody please check Joust for me and see if the core remembers the settings after being saved ? Not doing it on mine - perhaps a config file is Read-Only, I don't know. But could somebody please verify if they can make changes to Joust settings, load the core back in and the settings stick. I am having specific problems with the joystick se...

MiSTer FPGA - Game Video Playlist

Good Afternoon All, Just wanted to share this playlist of the MiSTer FPGA games across many systems from my channel. This is only going to be of use to people that are new to the platform and considering is it worth it - spoiler it is - it's well worth the investment. At the time of writing there are about 30+ different videos on this playlist. Tha...

Celebrating the MiSTer on YouTube

I have to say - in all the years of collecting "stuff" the MiSTer is the best ssytem that I ahve ever encountered - simply brilliant. On a personal level - I have some health issues at the moment and I have to find a "hobby" to get through the bad periods, think liquid based diet for several months so I figured I would do a YouT...

Did you update the Daemon Script aus well?
Without the Daemon Update you use the "Old Command Mode" which will be removed in a future update.
Yes !

Just changed the .INI file to SCRIPT_UPDATE="yes" and ran again, thank you.

Reporting in that this worked like a dream - used the OTA update as I'd put the beta one on earlier.

Like the little version control date... :) ...ideal to know we're on the latest and greatest.

.INI file updated manually.

Re: MiSTer Super Attract Mode (SAM) is now available - the first game screensaver for your MiSTer!

Mellified, how easy is it to add new cores in ? I would like to add for personal use the ZX Spectrum core using .z80 snaps. I pick those as they load straight in without keyboard input. I know it's not going to be for everybody to do this - but is it just a case of looking at the code and replicating what I see with other cores or is there somethin...

Can I just check on the picture count please with somebody ?

I thought we were over 300 done and I have just checked my tty2oledpics directory and only have 239, plus a folder caller PRI ?

Looks like I am missing a chunk of them or there are plenty of things I've not got installed !

USB in my opinion.

There has also been a recent update that if you have WiFi in your MiSTer you can do an over the air update if you choose to set that up.

Lovely additon is this screen.

they are mapped to the 2 windows already if you only have one window key on the keyboard then you can use the option in the mister.ini key_menu_as_rgui=0 ; set to 1 to make the MENU key map to RGUI in Minimig (e.g. for Right Amiga) that would make the menu key as the right amiga key Ah interesting - it must be my keyboard that's not compatable.
