Re: SEGA 16 Games Hanging

ah ok, because it said every game at first post, however Golden Axe completion worked fine for me and Altered Beast worked as well, though i do get the same system message on screen about the debug file missing when loading.

could be that Jotego might remove it at a later point when debugging isn't required anymore?

Re: SEGA 16 Games Hanging

i've played Shinobi a few rounds all the way up to the last level and nothing was locking up for me.

Although i had a boot loop on another core when resetting it a few times. (SFA3)

i believe the pinouts and workings for both types of controller are known, you could compare them.

does the controller use the latest firmware?

maybe contact MS support about this, maybe they can be of some help though i doubt it.

At this rate, the Saturn core is going to have to be smuggled out of the Ukraine on a USB key.

Re: ISO support has gone - for good?

i've made a windows tool where you can drag and drop the folders unto it and start converting, single folder works but still implementing multiple file / folder support.

it requires the chdman.exe included with the latest mame build as well naturally.

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core

Either i'm doing something wrong or i'm doing something wrong? Downloaded the latest nightly build to check the CHD loading but it flat out doesn't work, it boots to the bios and that's about it. The game works as a CUE/BIN but the converted CHD made with chdman from the latest mame build just won't work for me. Converted the image using this: chdm...

the directory tree in which to store the games should look like one of these two: SDCard: /media/fat/games/PSX HDD / SSD: /media/usb0/games/PSX Store the games in the PSX folder for example, Castlevania Symphony of the Night stored on one of the drives looks like this: /media/usb0/games/PSX/Castlevania - Symphony of the Night/ This folder contains ...

thing is that i've read more people having these kind of issues where the sdcard suddenly stops working for them for whatever reason? i remember having the same kind of issues with my NDS back in when i got my first flash card, some games just wouldn't work on specific cards. i personally use a 128GB Samsung EVO sdcard and i'm using it for 6 years ...

what about going into terminal and remove the key bindings file for example the NES of TurboDuo settings file(s) and then boot the core and try to bind again?

i had a similar kind of issue where when i reassigned a specific button it just wouldn't work, but when i deleted the key binding file(s) they accepted the new input.

Re: PSX off external hard drive

ISO's / ROMs go into the /games/PSX directory just like Caldor said.

You should also place the BIOS in there named as boot.rom, and maybe a few blank memory cards if you want to save.
I've named mine Card001Slot1.mcd and Card002Slot2.mcd for example.

You could try reformatting your current card and reinstall the MiSTer as a fresh install and see if the problem persists.
Otherwise it could possibly mean you need to replace that sdcard?

I manually patched a ROM but it just freezes on a black image and refuses to run.

Though wouldn't setting the core to use turbo for the SuperFX chip do the same thing?
That paired together with a turbo for the CPU?

Re: CD XA Audio Now Added to the PSX Core

Do you mean compressed CD images like CHD? That's a planned feature but isn't implemented yet and isn't high on the priority list. I don't mind it being one of the last things to do, but it's nice to know that it will be implemented. It makes so much difference for some games that take up 650~700MB of drive space now, but compressed it's like 1/3 ...

Re: PlayStation Core SPU audio For Single SDRAM Released

you need to save (or autosave) to write the memorycard back to your storage device before turning off the MiSTer, else all written data gets lost as i believe it is temporarily stored in RAM before written to external media.

that goes for all cores that support save writes.
