Can Somebody Talk Me Through Guncon Setup Please?
Hey. So I originally plugged in my Guncon 2 months ago when I was trying the core on a 14" portable CRT and from memory it worked fine although I never fine tuned it. I have since moved my set-up to a bigger Sony Trinitron and having probs a) remembering how to do it and b) getting anything to work with the core. So I have my Guncon in the USB...

Re: What Do Some of Those PSX Core Options Do?
Fixed HBlank gives me a 1 inch black bar on the left and right of my CRT. I'm sure there's more to it than that however.

Mine says that on every load too. I have US, EU, and Japanese Roms named correctly. Everything still seems to work though

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Is anybody having any issues with the last three nightly builds - none work for me, the Bios doesn't load. Works fine up until the first build from 2nd May, after that I just get ED and a black screen.
I'm running off an external HDD for my PSX library, not the SD card.... any ideas? Have I missed something?

Slightly different issue. I'm trying to calibrate and pressing F10 does absolutely nothing, do I need to do anything first to get F10 to work?

Re: N64 Core Possibility? (Update! Robert Is Working On This Core!)
Just because the PSX may have had better games doesn't mean any of the above about fast ram, number of transistors is anything to do with rose-tinted gigs. The only thing really, technically, it pails in comparison with is the library size and quality of the PSX, that's all that "blows it out of the water", not the 32X which I think was a...

There's not one part of this sentence that is correct. Achievement.lordoftime79 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 10:20 am N64 should be possible with existing DE10! we have a PSX and 32X core and both are more complex and powerful than the N64!

What do you think about nacon daija for 150 euros? you can advice it? I got sent a Daija for review (perk of the job) a year ago, I really like it. It's a sizeable beast, I like the way you can open it up and all the tools are inside. For that kind of money, you can't really go wrong and it's super easy to swap out the stick and buttons if you wan...

Re: Video Player Core?
Having seen other people going on about streaming DVD rips and old ads etc to a CRT I wanted to do this myself but couldn't find the threads (or even Discord maybe) where people seem to have set up playlists of old ads and TV shows to run constantly. I have a decent Plex setup already and never even thought of this so thanks! (although I do still l...

Time 'wrong' From the Internet
Just noticed (which is an indicator of how observant I am) that the time is wrong on my MiSTer, it's out by an hour, presumably since we switched to BST here in the Uk a few weeks back.
Now it is ZERO of an issue really but it's annoying me, can I alter it? Never noticed an option in my years of having it?

Actually, although it's quite tricky to tell from the pics. In terms of your 7 pin socket on pic 1, which pin are you adding the voltage to?

Re: Extending buttons and LEDS for case
No, I can't get the external disk light to work. I tried with the Amstrad core loading via a .dsk rom and the middle light on the IO board flashes a few times but the external one does not. I even tried it wired up direct to rule out my PCB. Need to revisit it today. Be great to hear how yours works out.

Extending buttons and LEDS for case
So, this has been an ongoing project for a while but finally had time this weekend to do some work on it. I 3D printed a wedge case for my MiSTer, spraypainted it, and altered the design of the files I got online so I could incorporate panel-mounted buttons and LEDs. Then I got carried away and designed my first ever circuit board for the LEDs - no...

What a game. Loved it, classic 1980 Atari if you haven't seen it. Would kill for a core! Can't image there are many boards left lying around though
