Atari800 core and Covox sound device

While exploring the source code of this core to learn a 'lil bit about VHDL (but this still way beyond my scope), I found out that they've also implemented the Covox sound device without further notice. This brings a great new sound experience to this core! Grab the attached archive, extract it to games/ATARI800/ , attach the ATR, reset the Atari a...

found it. Congrats, but maybe it'd be helpful for others to tell us what you've found (and fixed)? ;) I would guess it didn't load because the .gsc is named 000-N64 Aha, you see? More detailed info leads to help others! In this case it was my fault as I forgot to rename the picture in the repository, which has been fixed now. Thanks for reporting!

N64 didn't download. What could be the issue?

What N64 release date? Haven't checked for some days, maybe the N64 RBF setname has changed for reasons. Will have a look at weekend.

Of course - see attachment. I'm using a German TOS 2.06 and the settings as shown in OSD screenshot. The other screenshot is showing a running and working Cubase 3.1 with a loaded MIDI file. The 150MB HDD is using the famous hddriver from Uwe Seimet (Demo version) for easier handling with modern OS'es. And don't forget to insert the Dongle! ;) EDIT...

Re: Setup for High Resolution?

Quick answer: Set Core to Mono (not Color) and enable Viking mode in OSD. Either boot from floppy image "mist_vhi.st" or, if already using a harddisk image, create an AUTO folder there and throw in "mist_vhi.prg" there and reboot. That's all. If you need a more-in-depth description, gimme hello and I'll write a summary tomorrow....

I still use my original 800XL, but I now have a modern SDCard solution with the Sdrive Max - not sure if this can play those preserved disks, I have only tried ATR disks. SDrive-Max is capable of using ATX disk images, so yes, they're playable. Great, thanks for that. Don't suppose you know if there is a link to the latest archive for the preserve...

Re: Atari 800XL - New game preservation releases for the community

@seastalker I had a look at your images, thanks for them! It looks like that there's no need to keep the ALA Enterprises images in the ATX format, which is meant for copyprotected or damaged disks. Their games consist of one or two files only which I copied into simple new SD ATRs.
Find them attached and have fun.

The Namco Museum 64 (USA).n64 has a sha1 of 8ff73b91e62abe925ad475b166ea65b1a698dae7. I'm having a z64 with the same sha1 you've mentioned, but not yet tried.
Edit1: Ah, I see that the .n64 version is Byte-Swapped. I'm sure that this is the problem at my site.

Re: N64 Core

Hi, You get E27 for which content ? If it is for Namco Museum 64 you need to use big endian rom from no-intro pack. Ed: The core is compatible just with big endian rom for the moment Interesting...I'm getting an E26 with Namco Museum 64 (NTSC) (from No-Intro 2018) and the (hopefully) correct boot.rom (sha1 9174eadc0f0ea2654c95fd941406ab46b9dc9bdd).

Re: My MiSTer Keeps Changing Its (Wired) IP Address All of a Sudden

One thing/patch that could also help is to edit the file /etc/init.d/S40network and to edit the "dhcpcd" line there: /usr/sbin/dhcpcd -k The parameter "-k" prompts the Linux Kernel (more precisely: the network stack) to release it's assigned IP address(es) and DNS setting when rebooting MiSTer. Re: My MiSTer Keeps Changing Its (Wired) IP Address All of a Sudden

All correct but shouldn't be. The DHCP/DNS should free an unused lease after a defined TTL, but I have seen routers that are having a default lease time of weeks, if not months. And MiSTers network scripts aren't freeing it's own DHCP/DNS settings after a soft reboot, as do most of these smart devices.
