MSX Cheats
Hey guys, I came across this, a selection of cheats for the MSX: https://gamehacking.org/system/msx/all Is this something that could be supported in the MSX core, as it is in many other cores? If it were a pack could be made (and automatically updated as new cheats are created) to be automatically grabbed by updater like the other cores here: https...

Nice one. Are you struggling to find the setnames for the others not yet done on the sheet?

Nice updates rbz! That web tool is really nice.
Damn Larry, you have been smashing them out! What is tty2tft? Do we need a new column on the sheet?

Nice one Larry! Looks like the Cave core is getting more love again, added the other cores for that one we don't have yet.

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)
Hah, hopefully you don't get bored or fall down a manhole! I'll ping you a message with some thoughts, see if we can get the last bits of confusion on the sheet ironed out. I should have mentioned, but on the non-arcades tab I added a new column for .pdf guides to help Alan and the guys making those to be able to track which systems have been done,...

Nice one Larry! But you know the more you do the more that get added.
I popped in Apple IIGS and and the other Midway T Unit games as it seems that is the board JT is using for Mortal Kombat.
I may need to do a bit of housekeeping on the sheet this weekend, try get some of the anomalies cleaned up.

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)
Hah, nice one. I added the Taito 68000 games the other day when I saw what he was teasing, hopefully the others on the hardware come soon - Operation Wolf and Rainbow Islands would be nice to have. I also added Uo Poko which apparently runs on the WIP Cave core. I know there are plans to port over the MiST arcade cores we don't have in the near fut...

Re: GBC Rumble Support
One other core to hopefully add to the list is Pokemon Mini which is being worked on; it had rumble feedback.
Any devs interested in trying to get it working in the GBC core? Be really nice feature to have now we have functionality in Main.
Hopefully Robert, or someone else, is able to hook up the GBA core to enable the feature there.

Re: names.txt - Proper System Names in OSD
Ah right, I makes more sense now. I use the EU version incidentally. I do think it would be good to have the Acorn computers named "Acorn Atom" and "Acorn Electron" in the menu so they are grouped together. There is also the "Acorn System 1" I forgot to mention, which is currently an unofficial core that will get clean...

Re: names.txt - Proper System Names in OSD
Thanks dude, repo links are all here if you need any:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
Maybe been given informal/incomplete names on the repo - Acorn Electron should be two words for example.

A few more suggested updates to the names.txt
SlugCross = Slug Cross
AdventureVision = Adventure Vision
Dragon 32 = Dragon 32/64
Electron = Acorn Electron
Einstein = Einstein TC01
Lynx48 = Camputers Lynx48/96
M5 = Sord M5
Might want to do this one:
PC88 = NEC PC8801

Electron = Acorn Electron

Re: tty2oled Soft&Hardware Add-On (Shows Core based Pictures on a Display)
A few sheet updates, there was a new little core added to the Other section, a fun wee game called SlugCross that could do with an image. The SparcStation is known as ss5.rbf, and is progressing along, will be in Main at some point Someone is working on a VTech CreatiVision core for MiST, and once that is released it will be ported over to MiSTer p...

Re: Adventure Vision
I second that sentiment, thanks so much Rysha! I actually didn't realise it had been released, weirdly it never came down for me, I think because I had a test build on there. It also wasn't mentioned on the release thread so didn't appear in the news feed - worth a post there still as a lot of people have likely missed the release. I don't think it...

Re: MiSTer Google Slides PDF Project
Congrats on the feature fully launching Alan! I have haven't been about the last few days as had a friend staying, but the other week I added a column to the sheet used for tty2oled image support tracking for .pdf guides to help track what has been done, worked on and what hasn't got a guide/cheat sheet. Is an easy way to see what is outstanding if...

On a related note, would it be possible for the overlays to be grabbed by the update script? I remember it was discussed a good while back but don't think anything came of it.

Re: .VCD files
Oh, nice, lots of info in there. "So the VCD stuff is really very-self-contained, all the joypad button input and OSD video output is handled in the CXP chip. That's also making it fairly impossible to emulate the thing (unless the CXP firmware (and OSD character set) were dumped, too). " Does anyone know if the OSD character set has also...

Re: Amiga 68030/40?
I do really hope someone integrates Red Book Audio into the core so that CDTV games can be loaded with sound, and pave the way for CD32. It would be nice to thus have the core consolised for playing the disc games. I am still surprised nobody has added Red Book Audio support yet, especially with it being in other cores which can be used as a refere...

That would make sense, a bit like having an inbuild MPEG1 playing card. Is there any information on, or schematic, of this daughter board and what chips are on it?

Re: .VCD files
Oh, I didn't know it was dumped, when I looked the other week I just found notes saying it was still undumped. Does this pave the way for Video CD support or would it require more chips added to the already near full PS1 core?

Nice one Larry! I added Mystic Marathon, which is another one that has popped up ready to be ported. Noticed Joust 2 isn't marked off on the sheet but has an image, may need marked to YES.

I imagine that the computers and arcade cores on MiST will be ported over in the not too distant future. Birdybro is working on Joust 2 currently. There are lists of possible upcoming ones at the bottom of the sheet if anyone is looking to make images.

That would be really cool, as long as it doesn't take you off PSX too longFPGAzumSpass wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 4:30 pm there is a untested implementation of rumble in the core.

I remember we had a discussion about arcade rumble support a year or so ago and nobody could name any from the eras that MiSTer covers that had feedback. If anyone can think of any please chime in!
