Re: Should Arcade Cores Work With CRT?
1. could be that the rom/*zip file hasn't loaded, isn't on your sdcard or isn't in the right place /games/mame

Re: Expand SD Image
I might be wrong but as far as i'm aware there's no way of currently doing this. I ended up formatting a new larger SDCard with the MiSTer basic set up, then copying across from my old smaller SDCard the game roms and settings etc.

i'd d/load the latest mister firmware, just to be sure then update the mister and menu.rbf files so you have the most upto date. you should get the static screen from this yes.

if that fails you might try doing an install without using mr fusion, see if you get any different results?

Re: Second Boot Never Works
is that power supply second barrel shorting anything, cos it looks like it's touching one of the standoffs on the de10? (long shot i know)
also I wouldn't recommend using the SDCard that came with the DE10.

yeah I'm sure mine is about 25cm.. I can't vouch for the 48cm one, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I've been using a similar one for years, with the normal stacked mister set up.. i use it to avoid putting stress on the sdcard slot. never had any issues.

Re: MiSTer is 6 Years Old!! Happy Birthday !!!
happy birthday Mister.. many many thanks to sorg and all the devs who have helped create this incredible device. I first heard about MiSTer in the summer of 2018, kept reading about it on the forums, eventually on the 30/12/18 I ordered the DE10 - at the time it cost £108!! (£122 with vat) before it arrived I bought 32meg memory, an I/O board and U...

bit confused by what you're asking, are you wanting to rotate images from landscape to portrait? sadly you will have to either shrink the image, crop it or have it stretched.. unless I've got the wrong end of the stick.

woah, this is an incredible achievement. I honestly never thought it would happen, many congrats to @FPGAzumSpass. I've delibrately not compiled any of the beta's and bizarrely I've never even had or played on a PlayStation before, so this will be a brand new experience.

Re: Totally New To All Of This
1. if you're using a hdmi monitor you'll be fine, if you want to use a CRT you'll need an i/o board. otherwise you've got everything (joypad, mouse?) 2. you can install the cores one-by-one if you only require a specific ones, or you can run the update.all script which will download all the cores, some of the bios needed to run them, plus arcade co...

i wouldn't mind seeing an 040.. for an A4000 core.. i had an A1200 in the early 90's but dreamed of having an A4000/040.. so far out of my reach money wise.

Re: A500 Mini's CD32 controller?
I do like the A500 Mini from the reviews overall. Not sure I'll buy one or not. as dan wood asked at the end of his unboxing/review.. who is the mini a500 aimed at? maybe not the retro gamer, or the retro enthusiast.. maybe just someone who casually walks into a store, sees the mini and hasn't thought about the amiga for 30 years, buys one cos the...

Re: Can I just copy everything to an SD card?
AFAIK There isn't a pre-built Mister set up you can simply copy to your SDCard, I'm guessing that's what you're getting at. You'll need to either set up the SDCard manually - following the guide - or use mr fusion.

Re: Ordering a DE10-Nano direct from Terasic a Question?
Just ordered mine direct from them as well. Well...after a second attempt. The first time my bank thought the transaction was dodgy, blocked it, and put a hold on my card! I swear, someone doesn't want me to buy this thing. So...now I just have to wait and see if UK Customs are going to get involved. Which I guess they will. FedEx charge £52 for i...
