The default for this drive btw, is device name SHARE: and volume name MiSTer, how you avcomplished SHARED:Sorg is a bit of a mystery for me - what does the mountlist entry look like?

Many old cracks also alter the games in rather unforgivable ways (missing scenes in Moneky Island, iirc) - mostly better to use games recently prepared with whdload from original media than to use ADFs of old cracks.

ATAPIismajik works fine for me, note that it requires at least scsi.device v43.

Is this HDMI or VGA? It looks like there is some bad scaling going on. Does AGA 1280x720 work better?

ScreenGrabbing using win+prtscr doesn't work properly with RTG, I get a file, but it is 1bit grayscale, 1280x241 (running 1280x720) and essentially black.

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Well, I would love to learn how AmigaDOS at very base level depends on the Amiga chipset (I am curious since TRIPOS which AmigaDOS derive from, doesn’t depend on it), and how P96 need to mirror chipram for Workbench, especially since P96 also work on “clone systems” (like the mentioned Draco) that doesn’t have chipram... it’s great that we have an...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Oh dear word no. The ARM side is nowhere near fast enough to provide satisfaction. Really, 800MHz Cortex-A9 is not that much different than the 900MHz Cortex-A7 in Raspberry Pi 2, right? It MIGHT be enough for the 020 core itself There is no "core" when we speak of software emulation of a CPU, it's a matter of translating 68k instruction...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
I think the concern here isn't about "purity" as such, more that there are already situations where input responsiveness (which is one of the Amiga's defining characteristics) is slightly compromised - such as during disk access. I don't imagine it will be an insurmountable problem, but certainly something to keep in mind as more facilit...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
found deluxe paint v crashes when try to open in a rtg mode also iv and 5.2 This is quite normal - DPaint5 predates P96 and CGfX3, was put together in a hurry and is quite buggy all over. DPaint4.6 on AGA is the most rock solid combination. It would be amazing if Electronic Arts still had sources for DPaintV and could make them available, so prope...

Re: Operating Systems
Amiga web browsers work fine as long as you stay with “retro friendly” (html 3.2/4 pure) websites. It helps to use a proxy running on the linux side.
Also, AROS works (if you’re willing to jump some hoops), but it’s more for tinkering than gaming.

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Right, the way this chunky mode framebuffer is implemented on MiST, it is more as an extension of AGA than as a dedicated graphics card
Old picasso cards on zorro2 were also quite slow too btw
Speed on RTG relies a lot on the CPU, because, as I have mentioned numerous times now, RTG is most of all software.

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
I just played both those two games on real Amiga system, but instead of cycle exact 680EC020 A1200, I used one 060 A1200 and one 060 A4000. So again, the problem with these games is NOT that there isn't a cycle exact 68ec020, but simply limitations and bugs with the current TG68 in 020 mode - as usual.

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Right. DeluxePaint is one of those programs that rely heavily on the chipset. One of the features of DPaint V was RTG support, but mind you - this was 1995, RTG as we know it today was at its infancy, CyberGraphX had just been introduced, P96 still didn't exist, people with graphics cards were more likely to be using "old" RTGs like EGS, ...

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
Well, I'm afraid you will never see cycle exact 68EC020 unless you do it yourself.
Do you think those AGA titles above that struggle on tg68 work well on real A4000 with 030 or 040?
That should tell you what you need to know regarding the need for cycle exact 68EC020.

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
Because 32bit databus essentially - real AGA uses 32bit transfers for bitplanes etc, while 68000 (and ECS) only does 16bit. That’s why I doubt you can just connect real AGA chipset to a real 68000. IIRC, the Minimig AGA simulates 32bit transfers by doing two 16bit transfers.

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
When 68000 is selected as CPU, the MiSTer will use the cycle exact Fx68k core from ljor, while if you select 68020, it will use the tg68.C core by tobiflex. So two different CPU cores. TG68 started out as a 68000 core, and 020 functionality was only added years later. It works amazingly well, but isn’t “perfect”. Tobiflex has mentioned that he has ...

But a more normal location would be C: along with a line in S:User-Startup, or make an icon for it, type “tool”, with CLI and DONOTWAIT as tooltypes, and put it in SYS:WBStartup.
