On the digital IO board, both the TOSLINK and mini TOSLINK sockets should be providing digital optical audio out simultaneously.

Are you sure you are not just hearing the high frequency noise generated by your flyback transformer inside the monitor?

Re: 128MB SDRAM Problem

Looking at the MiSTer Wiki the Atari ST/STe core requires a memory clock speed of 96MHz, try running other cores from the link below that use 96MHz if those fail your SDRAM is unstable when down clocking to 96MHz.

https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_Mi ... -use-SDRAM

Jotego also has a dedicated 96MHz SDRAM test on his GitHub.

Chameleon by Jaleco

Pierco (Pierre Cornier) while on vacation has been using just his phone to work on Chameleon. From Pierco's Twitter: I'm done with audio & sprites for the Jaleco Chameleon simulation. It was an easy one but still the first one I did entirely from my phone during a vacation. I will try to turn it into a MiSTer core in two weeks. Jaleco Chameleo...

If you need a recommendation, for a cheap OTG hub these are used by many for low cost MiSTer builds:

You need to connect via the OTG Micro USB socket on the DE10-Nano, using an OTG USB hub.

Some information from Sorgelig about how the white noise on the menu screen is generated. Sorgelig Wed Nov 06, 2019 7:37 pm Noise screen comes from true noise produced by FPGA. It's NOT pseudo random generator using some calculations. So it depends on temperature of chip and initial state. Sorgelig Wed Nov 06, 2019 11:20 pm Basically it's cyclic co...

Just for future reference I have attached the Terasic DE10-Nano revision document, this documents the changes made by the manufacturer to each revision of the DE10-Nano board. The document also explains how to tell which revision of DE10-Nano you have.

Re: Red LED Next to Fan Connector

The red LED provides optical digital out, via the 3.5mm audio jack.

You need a mini Toslink cable connected to the 3.5mm audio jack then into a DAC to use this method for audio output.

Yes.

Use M3 cap head bolts these will fit neatly into the mounting holes on the fan.

Re: Perfect Screws for Noctua NF-A4x20?

They are M3 sized for bolts and nuts, maybe go with 25mm length, as the fan you are going to use is 20mm thick, you need to pass through a 1.6mm thick PCB.

Re: Does SDRAM Speed Matter?

Does this offer any benefit over a module that would only run at 130 MHz? Not really. Every core has a different specific MHz speed requirement. Higher clock speed does not mean it is any better, the memory actually needs to run reliably at many different fixed MHz values depending upon the specific core being used. The current highest MHz require...

Re: Disable Bluetooth

It might be an fault with your DE10 Nano, if two different expansion boards are producing the same result. As this is not a normal or expected behaviour.

If the DE10 is reading a button press from the KEY0 button on the DE10 Nano board this message does appear. Try just booting the DE10 Nano on its own, do you get the same result?
